It’s been two long years since the smash hit ‘Fallout 3’ was released – consuming many people’s lives. Prepare to be sucked back in again as ‘Fallout: New Vegas’ is heading to stores in October, and it’s looking every bit as good as its predecessor. Enjoy the new trailer below.

I quite enjoyed fallout 3, but my issue with this is it looks more like fallout 3.5. Graphically 3 was kinda behind it’s times, this doesn’t look like it’s moved on much from that. All of the gameplay mechanics are the same, including vats. Don’t get me wrong, i’m sure it’ll be a decent game, just a little underwhelming.

the same doubts are going through my head and thats coming from a die hard Fallout fan

Your right. The DLC was good for what it was I hope this is going to be more that just disc based additional missions.

I’m afraid, other than the change of locale and characters, it’s exactly the same game. New missions, new people, new place to wander round in, but exactly the same game.

Hey, fallout new Vegas isn’t the same game as fallout 3, it’s made by different people. A few things have been added to the game, different enimies, the ability to upgrade weapons, the whole ‘respect’ thing. What you guys want? It’s the same engine so it’s going to look the same. Call of duty looks the same kinda a call of duty 4.5 because it uses the same engine.

They even mention this fact in the trailer: “Followup to the 2008 game of the year.” ;)

Loved the first game, so Im quite happy for more of the same in this case.. Besides, games like this are all about story and characters, so if they’re all new, whats the problem? As long as they’ve fixed bugs, I’m happy.

i second that

see, fallout 3 had so much stuff put into it. e.g random encounters, many many locations and other secret stuff. There was bound to be bugs in the coding somewhere. If they put as much stuff in the new one as they did the old one, its probably just gonna have as many bugs in.

Dang im getting excited now, so what if it looks the same it works for most sequels these days

Hopefully this Fallout will at least try to be better than Oblivion.
The Fallout 3 was crap compared to Oblivion.
…and Oblivion is what, 5-7 years old?

i agree that f3 wasnt anywhere near as good as oblivion, butt still not crap.

Fallout 3 fanboy! Through and through out. Bought the game for £40 then bought the special edition for £30 needed that lunchbox and bobble head lol. Then bought all 5 dlc for £8. So a good £100 spent altogether and was well worth it for the 350+ hours I got from the game, weren’t fussed about the bugs! Cannot wait for this got the special edition coming from game, and the single game coming from shopto fingers crossed I’ll get 1 of them a day early

Some people want too much from people, Fallout 3 was a masterpiece and I’m not a diehard fan, in fact I thought it was boring when playing it on a friends 360 and bought it on a whim for my PS3. It was amazing, the story, environment, characters etc were so immersive to a level I haven’t seen for a while, plus it took me 32 hours to complete the game and I still hadn’t discovered all the locations. Graphics aren’t everything, people are so quick to forget this, you have to compromise and F3’s good points made up for this, if you want a world as huge as the one in fallout 3 graphics will suffer. Personally if F:NV is exactly like F3 in terms of system and graphics, and gameplay value i’ll be a very happy boy

Very nice.

OMG can’t wait. Even though New Vegas is looking more and more like a big expansion, rather than an actual new game, more of Fallout 3 is always a good thing imo.
