Necromachina Trailer

Fed up with waiting for Capcom to release a new Strider? Well, Sqeenix are here to help. At this year’s E3 when everyone’s attention was firmly on Deus Ex 3, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Kane & Lynch 2, Kingdom Hearts and Lara Croft, Square Enix quietly announced the remarkably Strider-like Necromachina.

The game’s creator is Kouichi Yotsui, who worked for Capcom on Strider back in the day, which is probably the reason for the familiar looking gameplay.

Necromachina will be appearing on the PSN Store and XBL Marketplace in the next couple of weeks and if you can’t wait until then you can check out the reveal trailer below. Despite this forthcoming release not too much is known about the title other than the official blurb:

At the dawn of the 22nd century, an evil power brought inanimate objects to life, and they turned on humanity. Bridges, cars, cups–the whole of humanity’s creations turned on their makers. But hidden amongst humanity’s survivors, an elite unit of specially trained ninja known as Moondivers has been lying in wait for orders to reclaim the planet. Today, those orders arrived.

But who cares, if it’s like Strider but with great co-op play then we’re pretty much sold.
