Online co-op will be coming to Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light on October 27th, but only for the Xbox 360 version. Speaking via Twitter, Crystal Dynamics had the following to say:
“Great news! LCGoL 360 online co-op coming 27 Oct. DLC pack 1 will be free to say thanks for your patience. PS3/PC coming later, stay tuned.”
So good news for Xbox owners, yet more frustration for everyone else.

Looking forward to the online coop, offline coop is a blast.

I really don’t get why the PS3 and PC versions are getting it later, I thought the whole point of the 360 getting the game earlier was so that when it came to PS3 and PC later everyone would be equal.
Crystal Dynamics and Eidos need to stop bumming Microsoft in the eye, seriously, I’m a fan of the series and many other fans have stated how they have already dropped the game because it has no replay value without the multiplayer option… which was the whole point of it. Bad move, very bad!

Console exclusivity, even time-based, is really starting to get on my wick; there needs to be an independent watchdog panel to set guidelines for the industry before it goes too far.
Console exclusivity does not work to the benefit of the consumer. There’s talk about ‘Entertainment as a Service’ becoming the new thing; if you were having say Gas installed in your new home, and you had to wait as another company had paid to secure an exclusivity deal to supply gas in your area, there would be so many complaints the practice would be stamped out before days end. I know as an analogy it doesn’t perfectly fit the situation, but you get where I’m coming from.

Bet the 1st DLC was going to be free anyway ;)

What happened to this being added to the 360 version a month ago? I was under the impression online was added in September.

Good to see PS3 users getting the usual treatment. “We’re going to do the XBOX first, and the rest, well…whenever we feel like it.”

Glad I didn’t buy this now. I can kind of see why they released it on the 360 first but releasing a glorified patch on one system and not the other is ridiculous.

So when it comes to PS3 we’ll get 2 DLC packs for free then?
