Those devils at UbiWorkshop – who are known for their previous Ubisoft promotional work (comics, short movies etc) – are busy beavering away on something called ‘Assassin’s Creed: Ascendance’. Not much is known about the project except that it’s “obviously not a game”, and at the end of the brief teaser trailer it mentions an ‘animated story’. More details are said to be coming “really really soon”.

It says animated story at the end …. this would be epic!

Well spotted mate, when I tried to play this it was buffering like mad so I didnt get that far (slow work connection). I’ve amended the article.

Looks great. More Assissins Creed can only be a good thing as long as they don’t cut corners on quality.

Maybe its to set up AC 3 along the line
ER_nut
we can certainly hope so ;)

AC3 will be release sometime in 2012, so I think it is too early to be promoting it.

While I certainly love the AC series, I’m bit worried about over saturation leading to a decrease in popularity, I mean in the past year or so We have had 3 games, a comic and now an animated story is announced! I think ubi need to be a bit more cautious with the longlivety of it’s product.

yeah i don’t want another cod moment when they announce 4 games at once!

An animated story would be brilliant.

I was dreading it being another game, as they said they wouldnt make it an annual release! i enjoyed the uncharted 2 motion comics, this should be interesting!
