GameStop Lists ‘Dreamcast Collection’

Oh now this could be interesting.  GameStop is listing a ‘Dreamcast Collection’ heading to the Xbox 360 in early 2011.  This could be a) the best disk ever featuring a load of classic Dreamcast games, or b) a retail version of the Dreamcast games already on/heading to LIVE.  Either way, for $30 it sounds like good value.

Only a 360 version is mentioned, so we will kidnap Sonic and force an answer out of him, or failing that we will just ask SEGA’s PR team to comment.

  1. Never owned a dreamcast, might be cool if those games were available on my ps3.

  2. MSR and Powerstone PLEASE! – for me PS3 me old china teapot! [Sorry I am ill today]

    • Those 2 games always intrigued me….especially Powerstone. 2nd that.

  3. I only want a Phantasy Star Online remake… even if it’s only offline…

    • I would play that for years!! (if online worked)

Isn’t Phantasy Star Portable similar or could that be different gameplay?

      • Phantasy Star Portable is more like Phantasy Star Universe (SEGA’s MMO attempt) which I don’t like as much as PSO Ep. I & II

  4. They can’t keep it exclusive… now I wonder how that will fit on dvd since a few Dreamcast games might take up 1GB of space.

    • because they were less than 1gb they came on cd’s although they were called gd roms they were never more than 750 megs

  5. I’d say it’ll be Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi & Sega Bass Fishing. Hopefully more though.

    • Shenmue!!!!

      • …..and Shenmue 2, my Dreamcast had died long before that was released.

  6. just packed up my dreamcast to go away, hopefully i can get this on ps3.

  7. Incoming!! Won’t somebody please make Incoming!

A HD version would be epic!

  8. Metropolis street racer ftw awesome game. Didn’t like crazy taxi at all, what about chu chu rocket haha that was good

    • for some reason, My DC wouldnt play MSR, so i bought another disc, and that one didnt work either both i just got a blue screen, so i never got to try that :( But Chu Chu rocket was so fun. im surprised the DC didnt take off, it cameand went so quickly

  9. Still have my DC, fantastic machine. I doubt MSR or Powerstone will be on the collection as they aren’t SEGA products. Most likely it’ll be a collection with the PSN releases (Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi,…) and other bits.

  10. Would be cool to own some Dreamcast games on disc for my PS3
