First Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood DLC Is Free

Ubisoft has announced that AC: Brotherhood will be getting the ‘Animus Project Update 1.0’.  This will feature the new game mode ‘Advanced Alliance’ and the ‘Mont Saint-Michel’ map for Brotherhood’s multiplayer.

Advanced Alliance makes the original Alliance Mode harder, “with target identification and engagement more difficult, thus providing a more challenging experience for players”.

Mont Saint-Michel is a new map that’s located on the rocky tidal French island of Normandy. It features narrow streets, a high-perched bell tower and multi-levelled architecture.

The update will be available for Xbox 360 and PS3 on December 14.  TSA’s Brotherhood review goes live at 9am today.

  1. “The price is right.”
    Indeed

I probably won’t be playing Advanced Alliance that much, as Alliance is my least favourite multiplayer mode. The new map sounds cool though.

  2. This’ll be a love film for me. As much as i loved ac2, there’s just too many expensive games right now, can’t buy them all. Well done for the free Dlc though.

  3. I’ve been to the Mont Saint-Michel and I actually thought at the time it would make a good nap for one game or another. Should be good.

  4. I was hoping for some single player DLC Damn it.

  5. That’s 2 sets of free DLC now! Much appreciated! If I don’t get this for Xmas it is going to be bought soon after, looks awesome.

  6. I’ve never understood the ‘Free DLC’ thing so early on. Sure, maybe a few months after game’s release, but just weeks after? How come they didn’t just put it on the disc anyway? Is it content that didn’t make release then?

  7. both the Lara Croft and Assassin’s Creed DLC free, it’s a bad time not to have a PS3 :(

  8. woooooo….. gotta get my assassins creed multiplayer on… first day of playing (sat) saw peoepl at level 31… crazy addictions for them

    • The game was out on a Friday though so the people who pre ordered may have got it a day or 2 early hence the high levels. Or they could be insanely addicted to the multiplayer. Or both.

  9. ooo FREE, my favourite price!

  10. Been so engrossed in the single player I almost forget there is a multiplayer. I’ll have to check it out once I’ve completed the campaign mode… Watch out guys!
