Most of us are happy with our Move controllers, even though a few more games would go down a treat. A recently released patent shows what the Move could have been though if Sony had followed through with its plans.  One of the main additions is a built in joystick, negating the need to buy a separate Dual Shock or Navigation Controller.
Also shown is a trackball on the base of the controller, which could be swapped with “other input devices such as a button cluster.” Â The glowing orb also had much more use, sensing pressure differences that essentially turns it into another joystick.
The mind boggles at what could have been, but such a feature rich controller would have priced it out of the market. Â Not to mention the house sized battery it would have taken to keep it running. Â Still, we can dream though, and wonder if at the very least an in-built joystick Move will ever make its way to market.

I guess [in a Kotick sort of way] two controllers would make them more money?
