Gran Turismo 5, it appears, isn’t finished. Technically, it probably never will be, with Polyphony promising to add features above and beyond what we’d normally expect of a game that’s been on the shelves for a couple of weeks.
In addition to the recent updates, including today’s online damage settings, it looks like the studio are planning some really killer features for the near future, including a web-browser based B-Spec mode that will allow you to monitor your AI drivers from the comfort of your laptop, if translations are correct.
Speaking on Twitter again, Kaz Yamauchi is answering public questions openly and candidly, as he has done in the past.
He’s also mentioned that racing your mates on your custom designed tracks might also be in the offering soon enough.

i vowed not to get this game till it was patched to perfection the same as i vowed not to buy black ops cause i was tired of the cod franchise as a whole today with all the snow and not making work i caved i ordered gt5 signature edition and went out and bought black ops i am ashamed :(

killzone 2 has the same thing init. view ya matches in the birdeye view mode. pritty tight idea even tho i havnt played gt5. and probably never will. my moto is “if it aint got a gun it aint no fun” ;P

Although this sounds pretty good, i’d rather they concentrated on fixing alot of the known issues first, especially the extremely long load times, before adding any new features to it.
In fact, since installing GT5, my PS3 in general has even become much slower. It now takes an age to load up my friends list, and all the icons take ages to appear. My PS3 also now wont switch off without making the 3 beeps that it does when it crashes.

To Translate.
Killzone 2 had a similar feature. You could view your matches using the Birdseye view mode. That was a fairly good idea however as I have never played GT5 (and indeed never will) my entire view of this game is mute. My motto is “If it isn’t a FPS. I’m Not going to play it.”
