Word is circling this morning that a new James Bond game is cleared and ready for take off. We’re only a few months removed from the last Bond game, 007 Bloodstone, but no word had come out about the future of the franchise since its cinematic counterpart was going through so many issues.
Now, reports are running rampant across the web that a new film is getting ready to go, and that apparently means that a new game will be coming along with it. We’re not yet certain which of Activision’s development studios will be handling the workload this time around, but CVG is saying that Raven (Singularity developer) may be at the helm.
We’ll be sure to pass on more info as we get it.

A new Bond game & film welcome. Raven made Singularity and its a great game that slipped by most peoples radars. If only the multiplayer servers were capable….

I really enjoyed Singularity and agree most people are missing out on a great game, differant from most FPS`s, when i played it i could see it influences were strongly with Bioshock and games in the sector

Raven are pretty much getting tied to everything lately aren’t they? First CoD and now this! Here’s hoping this isn’t just a film tie-in though.

Singularity was/is great, so I have high hopes for this – Shame the films have gone away from the ‘gadgety’ Bond really, as the way that Raven integrated the TMD in Singularity makes me think that they could have done an awesome job with some Bond gadgets too!

Saying that, as it is a film tie in I hope that they manage to do a good job in the development time given & not rush out a product just to meet the deadline of the films release – Although this is usually the case with film tie ins.
They did do a good job with Wolverine though…

Enjoyed bloodstone for the first 3 chapters, gameplay just became so repetative! The story wasn’t great and the driving i though was poor (us usual for these kinds of games). multiplayer was ok, maps were a bit bland , sunk a few hours into it though.
I then replayed QOS, I enjoyed that first time around, then realised 2nd time around that this was pretty poor also. it doesnt help when i’m comparing it to goldeneye

I have sunk so many hours on Bloodstone (played around 200 matches) I thought the singleplayer was OK. The most I like is the Close Quarter Combat (CQC) it’s brilliant. I’m trying to do the 00 medals to get all 15, I’m on my third which is shotguns – very hard but worth the challenge.

Bloodstone just came out and allready there planning a new Bond game. Well I hope they improve the driving controls, graphics and MP (in every way) because that was just rubbish. I did enjoy the bullet time however that was super. They should take a look atgames like uncharted just for ideas for the mechanics and graphics.

sounds good, yet to play bloodstone but ive enjoyed every bond game so far, quantum of solace was a good gam to play at the time but it was all about 007 racing all those years ago on the ps1 :)
and about a new film, wow, thats great, the last two have been fantastic

Last Bond game I played was on the PS2, Most of them were fantastic. Everything or Nothing being my favourite I reckon.

I said this in the forums last year… I thought Raven’s Bond game wasn’t going to be movie based, because they were already planning it a while before. The animation reel clip I watched showed bond chasing someone through a desert-y city, and using a scarf to cover his nose and mouth. The CQC appears to be as much an improvement over BS, as BS’s CQC was an improvement over QoS CQC, interacting more with the environment (breaking jars on enemies heads and such).

In that respect I thought the Bourne game was great. They should do another one of those!
