Despite being agreed on back in 2009, it has been announced that the PEGI games classification system will not be rolled out until July at the earliest, missing its April 1st launch. This is the second time a delay has occurred, with the original date set to be some time in 2010.
Conservative culture minister Ed Vaizey had the following to say:
“There’s been some technical delays to iron out a few kinks – nothing fundamental, nothing serious. And we’ll crack on with it as fast as we can.”
Won’t somebody please think of the children?!

It was banned at first, but did eventually get released, but they would only give it an 18 rating if they crippled the game so u couldn’t see half of the killings.
So in order to give it an EIGHTEEN! rating; it had to cut lots of the violence! 8/ If R* were aiming for a PG rating then fair enough, but this had most of the violence cut out so it could be sold to ADULTS!
Complete hypocrisy and moronicness from the BBFC when they’d happily rate garbage like SAW and Hostel 18’s without batting an eyelid! They are juat ignorant middle-aged idiots that don’t appreciate games because they didn’t have them ‘in their day’.

Interesting, though I’m not sure whether it’s the right route to venture down. The BBFC ratings seem to hold more weight than the PEGI ratings.
