As most of you will be aware, the new Black Ops DLC hit the PSN yesterday (and may have caused it to implode). To celebrate this, Treyarch has released this interesting/bizarre little trailer.
I often visit various internet sites to get my daily dose of COD negativity. Makes me laugh how some people have such a vested interest and deep hatred of a game they would rather die than play.
Let’s face it – games are quite expensive. Therefore I would rather spend £40 than £35 to ensure any DLC, online pass etc.
And more importantly to me the condition of the game. You can guarantee that the mail order copies will be the worst (ripped manual, cracked case) as there is no face-to-face selling. And GAME slap these stupid Pre-Owned stickers on everything which also leave marks. Sure I might be being “picky”, but if I spend £35 or £40 I want it to be in fairly reasonable condition!! It’s my money, I earnt it.
Perhaps more worryingly, GAME will try to increase their margins further by forcing the value of your trade-in games down. “Certainly sir, I’ll give you £0.50 for your copy of Gran Turismo 5” – then sell it for just £2 cheaper than a new copy at £37.99. Shame they have a lot of exclusive DLC on pre-orders, else I’d buy elsewhere out of principle.
I hardly think the dev team had a jolly with a bunch of digital video cameras wasting time filming this when they should have been working on the game.
Treyarch are in constant touch with their community and act a lot more rapidly than Infinity Ward (of course they’re the media darlings so hardly ever get flack) while also inviting feedback.
Yes, Black Ops was a state, but it has improved markedly and now I have little to complain about to be fair.

More time wasted instead of improving the game. Just cements my decision to not buy the map pack – thanks! :)

Wow, nice graphics. Still not as funny as the CoD “story-line”. That really is a joke!
