Today sees Sony celebrate the PlayStation 3’s fourth birthday in Europe. Our beloved black box has had somewhat of a difficult journey; plagued by a launch price beyond the reach of many; wounded by an uninspiring launch line-up, and battered by early ports that paled in comparison to their Xbox 360 counterparts.
How things have changed though, and we don’t think anyone can argue against the fact that this year is the year of the PS3. Only three months in and we’ve been given LittleBigPlanet 2, Killzone 3, and MotorStorm Apocalypse. Looking further down the line sees titles such as InFamous 2, Journey, and Uncharted 3.
Happy birthday PS3; here’s to another four years!

And Resistance 3 hopefully this year! FIFA 08, Res: FOM and Motorstorm kept me entertained literally for ages! I thought it was the year of the PS3 last year tbh, all of my mates traded in their Xboxs for one. But here’s to another 4 years (hopefully longer) of PS awesomeness! P.S. I was 18 yesterday, hooray for me too!

Mine died like 3 or 4 weeks ago. Liking my slim, just doesn’t have the same sentimental value as my fatty. I was at Smyths on launch night getting that bad boy with Resistance:FOM and Motorstorm. What a night! Haha.

Still got mine from 4 years back. What an exciting day that was. Don’t think I can play resistance again without tearing up with the fond memories. Sony will need to help out Timesplitters for a great year for me.

Only recently had to replace my release day origional with a new slim. Considering the use it’s had I think it did very well.
