Forza 4 Starts To Gear Up

According to a survey picked up by the evergreen Kotaku, Microsoft won’t be pulling any punches with the follow up to Forza 3.

Of course, we’re big fans of the game here at TSA (well, some of us at least) and while bullish claims aren’t new from any major publisher, the currently circulating survey (which we haven’t seen first hand) at least lists a few key features.

Those bullet points?  Well, bear in mind this is only taken from a speculative survey to gauge interest, but we can assume some of them are at least in planning:

  • Head tracking – “By using Kinect for Xbox 360, racing fans can now use head tracking to peer into a corner or their voice to control the game menus and interface.”
  • Kinect control – “You can enjoy sitting or standing controller free and racing alongside your friends, simply by holding your hands at 10 and 2.”
  • Better visuals – “The best looking game of the year with graphic fidelity 10 times better than the previous version, including new lighting and shading models.”
  • New career mode – including “an automotive world tour.”
  • More cars – “500 cars from 80 different manufacturers.”

The survey also touts voice over from Jeremy Clarkson, a virtual showroom navigated by Kinect.

Again, remember this is all from a marketing survey, so hardly fact (or indeed, fiction) – keep an open mind as we always do and let us know which, if any, of these features appeal to you.

  1. “Of course, we’re big fans of the game here at TSA (well, some of us at least)”

Is the only one who likes Forza at TSA Towers Teflon? ;)

I can see your points of view Teflon and your counter arguments are sound, it’s just the PR junk has been put across in a way that kinda infuriates with it’s BS!

  2. Forza 4……and the moaners keep on coming, Roll on GT6 then it will be something new to moan about. If you want a real driving sim buy a REAL car you won’t get nothing better.

    • Real cars are that bit more expensive, & dangerous.

    • I can’t afford a garage of over 300 cars, many of them no longer even in production, unlimited access to the worlds greatest racetracks, my own highly trained mechanics and a private hospital.
      Have you?

  3. Ten times the graphics. Lol sure it will, it’ll probably end up giving the xbox rrod

    • Serisouly, the RROD jokes are just lame at this point.

Put that right up there beside the cake is a lie, please.

  4. Really looking forward to this. Loved Forza 3 and I’m sure the the 4th will be brilliant. I just hope they add more race types into the game this time. They had nascars and touring cars in Forza 3, but no race series for them. Hopefully they sort that out.

  5. I love how everyone is getting down on them saying the game is 10x better graphically. All the exagerations (which turned out to be complete lies, including the fetures listed on the back of the box) that accompanied GT5 were cool though. Not to mention that we haven’t seen the game so we have no idea what the comparison is.

And then the kinect thing. You have no idea how it will be implemented. It could be a simple cart race mode for all we know. Either way it certainly wont be the only input menthod. Everyone complains that there are no core kinect games, but the second MS tries to impliment it one, people still bash it before getting ANY details on it.

Sony can ram move into everygame and it’s fine. I own two sets of move controller and i’ve tried KZ3, Socom 4, Heros on the Move, MAG and a few others and they all feel horrible, especially in comparison to using a DS3. But it’s an option, not a requirment.

I actually hope it is an arcade type cart racer mode that my kids can enjoy.
