AC: Revelations Will Be Ezio’s Final Chapter

One of the year’s most anticipated games, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, will grace the cover of June’s Game Informer. It has been confirmed that players will switch between the roles of Ezio, Desmond, and Altair, throughout the game, though the game’s narrative has yet to be outlined. The magazine continues:

Uncover a brand new part of the world as Ezio travels abroad for the first time to explore the wonders of Constantinople at the height of the Ottoman Empire. Learn about all the new features that set Revelations apart, from a brand new weapon and tool that changes the way you’ll fight and traverse the world, to extensive details on the newly customizable multiplayer game.

For a series which is thought to have reached its peak in terms of innovation, these new features sound to be counteracting evidence, and along with the recent teasers posted on the official AC Facebook page, this reveal strongly suggests that Revelations will be one of the poster boys of this year’s E3 conference.

  1. Love the IP but I hate playing different characters within the same game like CoD and Medal of Honor

  2. If I don’t see some Leonardo Da Vinci and Machiavelli guest appearances, I’m gonna be grumpy.

    • To be honest, I think Da Vinci was a rather poorly developed character in both AC2 and AC:B, hopefully he’ll stay out of this one, sorry…. ;)

  3. New going to go out in a blAze.

  4. Can’t wait :D Can’t wait to see what the special edition is going to be like!!

  5. Starting to get pissed off with Ubi churning out sequels to AC every year. Don’t get me wrong they a awesome games but they are starting to get ridiculous.

    • If they know they can ship 6 million copies without breaking a sweat, they will keep doing it year in, year out. Yes, it may damage the overall quality of the games, but Ubi don’t really have another franchise which can sell as fast.

      • It’s not exactly damaged the quality of them yet though. Each new iteration has been a huge improvement. If they can keep churning out awesome games every year, good on them I say.

  6. “a brand new weapon and tool that changes the way you’ll fight and traverse the world”

Can only mean one thing surely? We know that Constantinople has a certain ‘history’ with a large, screw-together, gunpowder-using, projectile thrower, so what’s the betting Ezio becomes the world’s first human cannonball! :-)

    • I would have prefered a lightsaber, TBH. Now that’s a way to “traverse the world”. Surely this will pose no technical challenge to Leonardo!

  7. I hope it’s true to the series and not a cash in. I hope they short out the server though, I’m tired of being able to play with someone one second, and not being able the next

  8. So this is not Assassin’s Creed 3 then??

    • Nope, Assassins Creed 3 will come out next year

  9. Really looking forward to this :)

  10. I just hope Altair will be able to swim this time. :P
