Yes, the previous teaser trailers have seemed to indicate that Altair would be making his return in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed game. The third teaser flashed number which some clever folk worked out might be Ezio’s birthday. There we go then: New Assassin’s game features Ezio. Done.
Well, not quite. This latest teaser shows the less decorative cloak of Altair and the new numbers flashing up, 11011165, would comfortably fit the same “birthday theory” for the middle-Eastern assassin from the first game.
So, are we getting some sort of almighty assassin mash up? Perhaps a game that explores multiple timelines? This teaser campaign certainly has us keen to know much more, well played Ubisoft!
Origami Killer
couldnt the numbers just be dates of release or announcement? it seems this one says 1st November, and if u add up the year dates, 2011??
was the other one 24061459? 24th june at nearly 3pm full annoucement of the game?

Wow that is awesome decoding if that’s right you deserve a medal
Origami Killer
could be but the dates also relate to historic events, so ubi are cool if they release at the same date of the events

Assassins Creed Revalations is out in November and concludes Ezio’s story, I cannot wait

ITS A CROSSSOVER!!!
YAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSS!!!
jonny_bolton
I’d like to see it explore the ancestral timeline between Altiair and Ezio.
Vaile23
spotted this on PS3T.org regarding the date 11.01.1165…
“A cursory glance at the date on Wikipedia shows that events of significance in that year included Byzantine Emperor Andronicus I escaping from prison and Pope Alexander III entering Rome, but more fittingly, it also notes that 1165 was the year the the Muslims took Caesarea Philippi from the Crusaders.”
bajere
i like that! lots of good stories could be made from that year it would seem
Origami Killer
i checked out the other date on 1459 in the other teaser video, that is the fall of Constantinople (after siege) and in theory the fall of the Byzantine Empire, funny enough i was only watching a video about Byzantium the other day, and the structures in Istanbul, it was the centre of the world at the time basically
Samiro05
That’d be nice, but [SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER ish] I wonder how Desmond manages to actually go back after what happens at the end of AC:B. Will he be able to travel between the two timelines by the same way he traveled to Altair’s time in AC:II. Who knows.
hunterstryfe
that was a glitch in the system remember? he was not meant to go back to altair’s time through ezio memories, it goes to show how powerful the bloodline actually is.

One of the things about the Assassins Creed games, is that they make you feel like you are in that world time line, its incredible, the music, the feel of the game, great games from Ubisoft
Aquastyle
That’s one of the things I love about these games, and also why I prefer the first game over the two latter, as it was superior when it came to setting, atmosphere and storyline.
StevenHibs
Personally I loved all three, but Assassins Creed II is definitely my favourite
gazzagb
I agree with Steven, AC2 was far superior to AC1, which quickly got repetitive(although it was still fantastic!). AC2 is one on my favourite single player games ever, it’s simply brilliant. Brotherhood was great too, probably on the same level as AC1 in terms of personal enjoyment.
eye8have9you3
Urghhnn if this end up in another countdown i’m gonna be pissed, everyone knows they’ll be announcing it at e3
Aquastyle
Brotherhood was announced a month before E3, same thing will likely happen to this, if the rumours are to be believed..
gazzagb
At the moment, I’m thinking it could be a game where Desmond jumps between Altair and Ezio. Whatever it is, I’m excited though!
Jim H [Teabags]
The multiple timelines theory sounds most plausible. However, it would be a little awkward switching between Altair and Ezio, being Ezio has so many more gadgets at his disposal not available in Altair’s era.
Hopefully it will feature online play too. I was absolutely hooked on Brotherhood.
Origami Killer
the thing what i like about assassins creed games is that they are actually quite educative, im really intresting in the timeline of the christian faith being a catholic and what not, so ive checked up all three games with history and its really intresting how they all link together, and if this new one goes for the byzantium take then that keeps in with the link so cant wait. u dont have 8 yr old dick heads on the game too like COD
8BALL
its the people who buy these minors an 18cert game, who are even more annoying.(if that’s possible)
