Sony’s promised ‘Welcome Back’ package is now live. PS3 owners will be able to choose two PS3 games from a list of five, and PSP owners can choose two PSP games from a list of four.
For PS3 owners, go to the ‘Welcome Back’ section in the PlayStation Store, and select 2 titles from the following list:
- Dead Nation
- inFAMOUS
- LittleBigPlanet
- Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty
- Wipeout HD + Fury
For PSP owners, go to the ‘Welcome Back’ section of PlayStation Store on your PSP system and select 2 titles from the following list:
- LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
- ModNation Racers
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
Those wanting to get their 30 days free PlayStation Plus need to go to the PlayStation Store and under the ‘Welcome Back’ section, select ‘PlayStation Plus: 30 Days Free’, and you’ll be given access. Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers won’t need to do anything, and their 60 free days will be added automatically.
PlayStation Network users will also get a large number of free virtual items in PlayStation Home, with more information on that available in the near future.
A selection of “On Us” movie rentals are currently available to PlayStation Network customers this weekend only, where Video Service is available.
Now go on, get out of here you crazy kids.

FOR ANYONE WHO THINKS THEY’VE LOST THE OFFER ON THE STORE:
1.On your PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Portable navigate to the PlayStation Network icon on the XMB
2.Log into your PlayStation Network account and choose Account Management > Transaction Management > Services List
3.Choose “PlayStation Network Promotions” from the list of services displayed
4.Select either “PS3 Free Games” or “PSP Free Games” and then choose “Select Content”
You will be taken to the store to choose your remaining free games.

Thanks Chibber. I did this and got my PS3 games. However it only gives me the option to select PS3 free games in the services displayed. PSP free games is not showing. Can anyone help with this please?

It’s a strange one but on the PSP it lets you select free PSP and PS3 games using the method above. On the PS3 it only lets you select free PS3 games – so it looks like people will have to log on using their PSPs to get the free PSP games.
I’ve grabbed myself Dead Nation and Ratchet and Clank for the PS3 and Pursuit force and Mod Nation Racers for my PSP – all are excellent freebies and I think Sony have convinced me to sign up to Playstation Plus with the free month of that.

Managed to get infamous & ratchet & clank after a few errors. Also got burnout but I don’t think I’ll be swayed into purchasing plus. Hope I didn’t make a mistake not getting wipeout. II only got my ps3 recently but always hated it on the ps1.

Sweet, I was hoping these would be up soon. Infamous and Dead Nation for me, along with LittleBigPlanet and Modnation for PSP. I think I’ll leave it a few days before I try to download them though, by the sounds of it there are a few problems.

Wipeout and Dead Nation for me. Had Infamous with the PS3 and didn’t play it for ages but when I did I loved it! Can’t wait for the second but not sure about it being a different voice actor. Guess I should try the demo :)

Success!! Good download speeds on all 4 games which are piping down my ps3. Gonna try the films shortly. If anyone’s so pissed off with the errors and the slowness either keep trying or do it at 5am, I did this morning before work, it was lightning fast.
