EA and Insomniac Games have announced ‘Overstrike’ for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Four player co-op is the order of the day here, as you play as part of a team known as Overstrike 9, which is comprised of a thief, ex-mercenary, a scientist and a detective.
When a terrorist group tries to destroy humankind these outcasts are the best hope we have. Insomniac CEO, Ted Price, had the following to say:
“Overstrike presents a unique blend of features that have long been a part of the Insomniac DNA: high powered gadgets, action-heavy gameplay, memorable characters in a deep and mysterious universe and of course a touch of humor. And since this is our first multiplatform game, we’re especially excited to introduce ourselves to a new audience — one which may not have experienced our previous games.”

Looking good :) 4 player co-op is great fun, but the problem is you always have to arrange game sessions with friends or play with randoms. Hope it’s possible to play it single player too (e.g. like Borderlands).

i like the humour, that’s something you can rely on insomniac for.
can’t tell about the gameplay yet, but given their history, i doubt it will be bad.
still, i’d like to know what kind of gameplay it will have.
