PSP Vita Gains Another Exclusive – LittleBigPlanet

Sony has just shown quite an astounding trailer for LittleBigPlanet Vita. The game seems to have the full 3 layers that the PS3 versions have (as opposed to the two used in LBP PSP) and takes full advantage of all the fancy new input features the Vita has to offer.

The level creation has also been expanded to take advantage of these features, with the game showing touchscreen levels that were considerably more similar to the games made in LittleBigPlanet 2’s editor. It all looked very pretty and very, very impressive.

Whilst we were never explicitly told multiplayer would be included, we did see multiple sackpersons running around on screen, so that’s at least ad-hoc multiplayer and if it isn’t infrastructure I will eat my hat. Well, I’ll buy a hat then eat it, with a side of glove.

  1. I guess this was always a given really, doesn’t make it any less awesome though. Hopefully this lets you play the PS3 made levels.

    • It seems that a psp isn’t a psp without LBP. :)

  2. Somehow, the Vita version could well end up as the definitive version.
When you think of the different control options, we could feasibly make almost ANY iOS or Android game on LBP, and of course all the features ALREADY in LBP2.
    Mind. Blown.

  4. Yessss.

  5. Who is the developer, Cambridge or MM?

  6. Dang. The PSV already has more interesting titles than the DS3.

  7. This could be really good for creating mini games which people can play on the go.

  8. Wow. I’m officially bowled over by the video. It looks brilliant.

If all the PS3 levels are playable on the PS Vita, this a must buy.

  9. Consider me no longer on the fence. In fact the fence is now some distance behind me as I run to the nearest cash point and get in the queue for one of these little monsters :)

  10. This looks amazing. Guess there really is no way around the Vita for me then.
