Amanita Design’s award-winning point and click adventure game, Machinarium, has been confirmed for a PSN later this year. Praised for its thorough, old-school devotion to the genre, Machinarium also sports some of the very best art work you’re likely to see in modern gaming.
From first impressions it sounds like a direct port of the original game, though it will be using the Dualshock 3. As a point and click adventure, PlayStation Move sounds like an ideal implementation for Amanita, especially as the developer is also working on a Wii version of Machinarium.
The PSN version will also include a walk-through option for newcomers to the genre, allowing players to uncover hints and tips by playing brief mini-games. For those not familiar with Machinarium, it may sound like a crutch, though will be much needed towards the latter part of the game.
A release date has yet to be confirmed, though Machinarium’s presence at E3 suggests it should definitely launch by year’s end.

That’s very nice. I already finished the game on my PC, so I probably won’t be getting this. But nice addition.

Nice! Never played it, as I’m not a Mac (or PC) gamer, but I love them point’n’clickers!
Hoping this can sell enough to help pave the way for ports of other PnC titles, like Broken Sword and Discworld etc

I played the demo for this (and samorost) online, delightful games. I’ll definitely pick it up on PSN.
