News reaches us that Peter Molyneux is ‘a horrendous mistake’, something we have all suspected since he started inventing virtual children to play with. No.. wait..
News reaches us that Peter Molyneux has said his E3 demo of ‘Fable: The Journey’ was ‘a horrendous mistake.
“I made a horrendous mistake on the press demo of taking out the navigation allowing players to move. I’ll just state on record now that Fable: The Journey is definitely not on rails.”

If I was still a games journalist and he asked me to sign that wall I would have just written “LOL! RAILZ” on the board and walked off.

You, sir, have my respect.

Only just watched the demo and it definitely looked like it was on rails to me. Unless there was some new mind control extension for Kinect being used so that it knew exactly where the player wanted to go next.

The demo was OTR, the game is not. Allegedly.

It has to be on rails to an extent; the trick is going to be that at a junction, if you pull your right hand in you’ll turn right, left hand and you turn left. Not on rails, but still on rails; honestly, there’s little / nothing more they can do with it. Well, maybe you could drop the reins for some pew-pew-pew one-hand-clapping action.

still looks like it’ll be shit though.
he could have done a black and white style game, that would have worked well with kinect.
but this?
awful, just awful.
