EVE Online And Minecraft Attacked

The LulzSec group have targeted EVE Online, Minecraft, FinFisher and Escapist Magazine and their sites and servers have been taken offline by a DDoS attack.

The group are now taking requests via a phone line and Twitter as to which company to attack next and are claiming today to be ‘Titanic Takeover Tuesday”.

EVE online have said “EVE Online and related services are currently offline and will return as soon as possible following investigation of some issues.”

Minecraft is now back online, head guru Notch has just tweeted ‘Looks like we’re back up.. I just hope it lasts!’

  1. Whats the goal?

    • I’ve been wondering about that too so did a quick google and found this comment from them..
“to be clear, our goal is not to help companies protect their data. Our goal is to spread fun, fun, fun!”

must be in inside joke.. :/

    • maybe to make their pathetic little lives seem vastly more important than they actually are?

      that’s just my guess though.

  2. they possibly went for the online game ogame as well today which also suffered a ddos attack today,

  3. Can’t stand people who do stuff like this, obviously because they have nothing better to do with their lives….wasters!

  4. what the frak is wrong with these people?
have they declared war on the internet?
or is this the only way they can make themselves seem important?

they’re going to piss off everybody doing this, eventually they’re going to start pissing off people who know who they are.

they’re not going to have any friends left before long, assuming they have any to begin with.

the more times they pull this shit the bigger a target they’re making themselves, do they think the us government will sit back and watch once american companies start losing money because of these pathetic slimebags?

and if they think they can’t be found, they’re in for a rude awakening
