The Forza 4 hype machine is just starting up, and today’s reveal of the Limited Collector’s Edition should get those pre-orders rolling in.
[drop2]In addition to the fancy steelbook case, the LCE will also include the VIP Car Pack (2011 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, 2011 Ferrari 458 Challenge, 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera, 2010 Noble M600 and the 2011 RUF Rt 12 R) and a limited quantity pack for anyone that pre-orders ‘early’ – 1965 Ford Mustang GT Coupe, 2011 Koenigsegg Agera, 1997 Lexus SC300, 2011 RUF RGT-8 and the 2011 Tesla Roadster Sport.There’s also a ten-car add on pack (full of American muscle cars) and some custom-designed BMWs. The most interesting thing is a 96 page book presented by Top Gear featuring imagery from ‘both Forza 4 and Top Gear’s extensive photo library’, but there’s also some stickers, VIP membership within the Forza community and a BMW Dashboard theme for your Xbox 360.

cars look as good as gt5. lets hope its as playable as forrza 2 was, 3 seemed not as good to me.

I think the cars look far too clean in the pic, same as GT5. Driving over mud and grass (even on GT5 rally) didn’t make the car dirty. They keep pushing realism in looks, but I think its gone wrong, as they now look unrealistically good. I think I’d rather play dirt..

lancia rally car seemed to picked up dirt over time but not like Motorstorm or Dirt. I agree though the cars should pick up dirt or mud in a way.

My biggest criticism of Forza was that the modelling of the cars was never up to par compared to games such as NFS, GRID and GT5. I guess thats the draw back to producing so many cars in such a short space of time. They seemed to have have upped their game in these shots though. The car paint and lighting is also a lot better too, not plastic looking like F3. I really hope this game is great. As a player of GT5, I feel Gran Turismo has got lazy with regards to game design through lack of competition (it’s immense as a technical excercise…). Hopefully Turn 10 will give Polyphoney the kick up the arse they need.

I hope that forza 4 looks gorgeous and plays great, scoring a bunch of 10’s… Maybe this way someone (cough.. polyphony digital cough…) will work harder on their next game…
