‘The Last Story’ Heading To The EU?

This weekend saw the launch of Operation Rainfall. Whilst hardly the most threatening of names, the aim of Rainfall was for fans to get Nintendo’s attention and almost bully them into releasing Wii-exclusive titles Xenoblade, The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower in the West.

In theory the tactics used in Rainfall were sound; organising several different online forum communities, posting multiple times on Nintendo’s Facebook page all whilst preparing to launch a physical letter-writing campaign.

This campaign may have actually gotten the desired results, as Nintendo Master is reporting that Nintendo France has re-confirmed the European release of Xenoblade Chronicles. Furthermore, Nintendo World Report has run with a story saying Nintendo France has also confirmed a 2012 EU release for The Last Story.

The Last Story is the Wii game that has caused the most excitement in recent months. Developed by Mistwalker and AQ Interactive, this action RPG sees you control a group of mercenaries that have come from the desolate continent to Ruli City seeking work.

You might have noticed that the US has been left out slightly. Well, Xenoblade Chronicles seems to be on the way but as of yet there is no mention of The Last Story.

Should we really have to be setting up groups to beg Nintendo to take our money? Really?
