The world’s most popular MMO, World Of Warcraft, is now free to play. Gamers can create an unlimited number of characters who can reach a maximum of level 20, however the characters will not be able to accumulate more than ten gold coins or join guilds.
There will be no time restriction on the free-to-play offer and it is estimated that new players will be able to enjoy some orc battling for around fifteen hours before hitting level 20.
Although players will avoid the £8.99 a month subscription cost they will still have to buy the base game which can be purchased for around £10.

Thankfully I don’t own a gaming pc, only a laptop, and I fully intend to keep it that way. For me, gaming happens with my ps3 and work happens with the computer. The day I start doing other things with my laptop is the day no work will ever get done. When I turn on the laptop, I’m working. I can see myself thinking “ooh, just a quick game of wow before I start work”, then looking up at the clock and realising its 3am and I haven’t done any work.

the community in wow was already terrible, this is going to destroy it completely, I’m glad wow isn’t something I spend my time on anymore :)

all it needs is a trial account from what i understand, and with that you can download the game.
i’ve got a trial account and i seem to have the features of this extended trial.
some of the burning crusade content for example, so i can create blood elf and draenei characters and access their zones, where trial accounts were previously limited to the original six races.
