App Store Pricing Adjusted

Apple has been doing some tinkering with the prices you can expect to pay when downloading stuff from the App Store.

It is being reported that this is to bring everything into line with current exchange rates.

Some locations will be paying more, some less. Here’s a breakdown of the lowest price band:

  • UK: £0.59 -> £0.69
  • Australia: AU$1.19 -> AU$0.99
  • Japan: 115 -> 85 Yen
  • Mexico: $10 -> $12
  • Switzerland: 1.10Fr -> 1.00Fr
  • Norway: 6.00Kr -> 7.00Kr

This is the biggest outrage since Space Raider crisps went from 10p to 20p.*

*Total utter sarcasm

  1. So does that mean euro prices are unaffected?

  2. Damn :|

  3. Will this apply to hardware too? Somehow the new price points make me less inclined to impulse buy…
