Machinarium Heading To The iPad

I’m genuinely excited by the news that an iPad version of Machinarium is almost ready for release – maybe as soon as next month.

This critically acclaimed point and click puzzle game came out on PC in 2009, and saw you take on the role of a robot named Josef as he tried to foil an attempt by the Black Cap Brotherhood to blow up the city’s tower.

There is no dialogue, spoken or written, and the game uses a system of animated thought bubbles to convey messages.

  1. Was this not supposed to be released for ps3 too?

  2. Brilliant, the PC demo was superb, the puzzles are just like Samarost. Any news on an iPhone version? If not I could be tempted to spend some more money on Steam.

  3. I downloaded this on my Macbook but haven’t played it yet. It does look rather good though

  4. I’ve played the flash demos of this and Samorost, gorgeous little games, think i’ll wait for the ps3 version though.

  5. Bought it at a Steam sale and quite liked it. I didn’t get that far but would love to give it another shot on my Android tablet. Android port, please?

  6. Looks a bit like a well old point and click calle Beneath a Steel Sky.

  7. Brilliant, can’t wait for this. Was waiting for PS3, but I think I’d prefer it for iPad, plus, my Dad would love this – right up his street.
