Resident Evil 4, Code Veronica X HD Pricing Revealed

Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 4 HD and Code Veronica X HD will be available at a low price. Each game can be purchased individually for $19.99 or 1600 Microsoft Points. RE4 HD is set to release on September 20th, while Code Veronica X HD launches a week later on September 27th.

Capcom’s press release reiterates that both game will only be available through digital distribution in North America and Europe. It seems like there has been some miscommunication over the last few days which led people to believe that both games would be getting a retail release.

Capcom also released a new pair of videos showing both games in action.

  1. Expensive, i might pick up 4 if it has move support, i have it on PS2 since i brought it last year because people say it’s good, but i hated the controls, and prefer the move scheme like in RE5

  2. Assumed they would be out on 1 blu-ray. If it isn’t they can piss off cos they ain’t getting my money for a digital re-hash

  3. No deal for download only as I have originals. Moving on….

  4. Definitely worth the price for RE4. Looking forward to it. I hope they might do a Plus discount.

  5. I’ll probably pick up RE4 since it’s one of my favourite games and my PS2’s broken recently :(

  6. Hope their will be a psn + discount.

  7. Not played either but i dont really like the look of Code V. 4 looks cool i will probably buy that

  8. I think I’ll be giving Code Veronica X a miss – I’ve never played it before, and it’s a fair bit outside my “give it a go” price bracket (especially considering that the price conversion between the US and UK PS Stores isn’t always perfect).

I also would have preferred a boxed copy as well – I would have definitely picked it up when it were at a decent price.

    • If it drops in price, definitely pick it up. A great example of RE’s true roots.

  9. Are these exclusive to XBL? I would be tempted by Code Veronica X if it appears on PSN, might wait for a discount though.

  10. Resident Evil 4 is worth it without doubt.
I don’t know about Code Veronica X though, so I’ll leave that until a sale or Plus rolls around.
