Finally, The Rock has come back to a WWE game! Of course, he was also a playable character in WWE All Stars and last year’s Smackdown vs. Raw but we’ll just ignore that for now. This version of The Rock will be based on his current look, complete with tattoos and bald head. It will be perfect for setting up your own John Cena vs. Rock Wrestlemania matches.
There’s one small catch. The Rock is a bonus character for pre-ordering the PS3/360 version of WWE ’12 at participating retailers, which includes GameStop, Amazon, Gamestation, and HMV. If you pre-order from GameStop you’ll also receive an “I’m awesome” entrance t-shirt for The Miz and you can dress him up in a business suit for some reason. The Wii version includes all of these bonus items already unlocked.
WWE ’12 is set to release on November 22nd in North America and on the 25th in Europe.

Cool i’ll tell me brother as although we are both WWE fans he allways gets the games (minus All Stars). Gives him something to have for Xmas i suppose.

The Attitude era was the best modern Wrestling era. The PG era now is dreadful and I just recently watched Money in the Bank and a Smackdown show and the matches are short, the ‘acting’ is completely crap – Long live the Attitude era! Now, Can you smeeellll what the rock, is…cooking!

That CM Punk vs Cena match was amazing though. 35 minutes long and worth 5 stars. The Chicago crowd were amazing too. If only it was like that every week like it often was 10+ years ago.

THQ have been releasing almost identical wwe games for years now. I’d like to see someone else get the license, or at least a decent overhaul & new engine.
