Credit cards at the ready as Zavvi have grabbed the worldwide exclusive to the ‘Metal Gear Solid: Ultimate HD Collection’ and it looks rather tasty.

The pack includes Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty HD, Metal Gear Solid 3 HD, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (Including Metal Gear Online) and a PSN code to download Metal Gear Solid 1.

The games will be encased in an individually numbered steelbook case with five art cards and will cost you €85.95 / £69.85.

  1. Preordered. Only 4,000 Worldwide is pretty cool

    *hopes for good number*

  2. I’ll be content with the cheaper version.

  3. All I want is Peace Walker HD!

  4. Seems a tad too expensive to me.

  5. Have all of these original, but a sucker for special editions. If these include Substance and Subsistence and trophies for MGS4 then I’m more than happy with the price. Even if they don’t then having one of 4000 is enough for me.

  6. It may be exclusive to Zavvi, but it looks like Asda is trying to get in on the act: http://www.asda-entertainment.co.uk/games/platforms/ps3/metal-gear-solid-ultimate-hd-collection-zavvi-world-exclusive/10532517.html

    • Always thought Zavvi did Asdas game side, could be wrong, but their offers and site are always very similar, same with thehut.co.uk

      • Zavvi and thehut are the same group (The Hut Group) so usually their stocks and prices are identical (quite why there are differences sometimes I don’t know). As for being the same as Asda I don’t think I ever looked hard enough to notice. However it’s not uncommon for online distribution arms to be dealt with by the same company.

  7. MGS3 is one of my fav games all of time, so can’t wait to play it again.

  8. Is this the only way to get MGS 2, 3 and Peace Walker in HD, or is there a non-collectors edition as well?

  9. Not so ultimate in my opinion, they should be putting the first game on the disk with 2, 3 and Peace Walker. Bloody downloads, grr!

  10. Bit expensive for me, i would however love a copy of mgs3 hd, possibly my fav.

    • PSN then?

      • not keen on dloads, bar my beloved warhawk, starhawk to follow.

      • As above, there are exceptions. Tbh i didn’t realise it was coming as a stand alone to psn.
