The first announcement out of EA’s press conference at Gamescom is a new entry in the FIFA Street franchise, in development at EA Canada in Vancouver.
The new game (simply titled “FIFA Street” at this stage), will feature the precision dribbling feature and new player impact engine from FIFA 12, as well as new wallplay and “street ball control” unique to the new game.
Included are 35 environments, from London to Tokyo and Barcelona, and EA are teasing new “social connected modes” to be revealed later in the year which are the “first of their kind” . EA Sports Season Ticket owners will get early access, and the game also hooks into the new Football Club announced earlier in the year.
EA have described the game as “authentic, fun and unlike any other street title we’ve ever created”, and it’s pegged for an early 2012 release.

Loved FIFA Street on the PS2. All they need to do now is announce another NBA Street game and i’m sold.

I remember hours of enjoyment playing FIFA Street 2 with friends. When I got a PS3 I immediately downloaded the demo of FIFA Street 3, and thought, “WHAT have they done to it?”. Seriously, the cartoon graphics were absolute rubbish. Dunno what the developers were thinking!
Hopefully this one – FIFA Street 4 – will be much better!

Tbh. I think EA should have learnt their lesson from the street games when no one brought NFL Street 3, and then FIFA Street 3 turned out to be a massive failure. I’m not denying that it’ll probably be good as most FIFA titles are, but I hope it’s not as annoying as the other 3 FIFA Street games

I love FIFA, PES and I got the original FIFA Street in 2005 I think, when I was 12 I believe and loved it, FIFA Strret 2 I didn’t like and 3 was laughable, perhaps it’s for younger children? I just love the football sims
