After the controversy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 not having dedicated multiplayer servers for PC gamers, Activision have confirmed at Gamescom that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will have dedicated servers after all.
This should allow for smoother online gameplay, making the PC crowd much happier. Last year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops also had dedicated servers and so there would have been serious questions asked if they suddenly disappeared again for this year’s game.
Activision has also discussed their worries over cheating on the PC edition of the game due to it being an open platform. These fears are especially heightened by the fact that the company will be rewarding gamers subscribed to Call of Duty Elite with real-life prizes.
The company is working hard to ensure their concerns over cheating don’t come to fruition.

It’s actually not that bad now on PS3, I used to get terrible issues but I’ve tried it a little lately, very few problems.

MW2 wasn’t bad, especially compared to Black Ops, but you would think that it’d at least have a state of the art p2p system, seeing as it sells millions…

WOW, MW3 will sell the most on consoles and console owners will buy the map packs more than PC users who will just pirate everything and yet they get dedicated servers.
Activision is such a pathetic company, without Infinity Ward, they would suck even more. I want MW3 so bad but as a PS3 user I don’t think I want a Xbox 360 game ported over to the PS3 anymore and I will not buy MW3 for my 360 as I hate the XBL community and the controller.

I think this is great that MW3 is getting strong PC support. I am actually buying a new computer this Fall that can support the big title games so this is good news for me. I’m going to get the game on PS3 and PC just for different level of competition online. I saw at modern warfare 3 http://mwarfare3.com 43 new HD screenshots of the game. Looks CRAZY good. I can’t wait to buy the game and I know the PC version is going to have ridiculously crazy graphics. Looking for that detailed and hopefully it matches Battfield’s PC version.
