A Few Screens Of The PSP E-1000

Say hello to Sony’s entry level handheld device, the PSP E-1000. As reported earlier this week, it’ll be priced at €99, is for Europe only, and is slightly larger than the PSP 3000, with a matte finish for the shell.

It also ditches the buttons below the screen for a touch sensitive strip, and does away with WiFi.

  1. I like it! It matches the new (mostly) matt finish of the PS3 Slim.

  2. haha, “sample for not sale”!

    • Haha! But at the moment, it doesn’t look too good, so I’m guessing, that after 3-4 hours of gameplay on this device, would give it enough stains to look like my PSP (which is extremely stained, scratched and dirty). :)

  3. Looks nice all being black, even the L1 & R1 buttons – but pointless for me without WiFi. Also strange that it’s only for the European market.

    • It also seems that the loading times are far worse!! :p

  4. wtf is the duct tape hiding?

    • what duct tape?!

      • beside the left shoulder button. bit of black tape covering a hole of some kind. easily spotted on 4th pic but still noticable on 5th and 6th

      • mshould be 5ht, then 4th and 6th. looks like it came off when the umd slot was opened

      • That’s where you’ll plug in the wifi-addon they’ll sell once people figure out that without one this PSP is crap

  5. Man that is ugly, good idea though!

    • Looks like a chinese KIRF to be honest. They should have kept the buttons and used the money from the touch sensitive area to buy the wifi radio… And why is this thicker than the existing versions if it lacks a wifi radio which should allow them to slim it down even more…

  6. No wi-fi, No I-buy

  7. It’s Okay really I’m happy with my PSP Go! and cannot wait for Vita ^^

  8. Like the matte finish, looks a little boring though, like no shine on it. Still not a bad price for a PSP.

  9. Price it around £50 and maybe get one as a replacememt for my 1000 thats still just about working… Although i will get a vita so probably not….
Maybe you can eject the umd drive and connect it to vita…. maybe thats what the gaffer tape is hiding? Hmmm

  10. At least with no wifi options you can take it to Cuba on holiday! Maybe if its £50 I might be tempeted as I still have a few games left for it! Otherwise its PSV all the way!
