With all the news coming out of last week’s Gamescom show, naturally some got missed. Fear not, TSA are here with a couple of trailers for Vita games that may have passed you by last week.

First up is the fantastic-looking Escape Plan, coming out of Fun Bits Interactive and Sony Santa Monica:

Next up, it’s Gravity Rush from Japan Studio:

Here’s the latest trailer for LittleBigPlanet’s Vita iteration:

And ModNation Racers on the platform it looks like it was made for:

It’s darts! Top Darts in fact!

From darts to pool – Hustle Kings:

Some new gameplay from the Virtua Tennis 4 port:

Finally, Sony’s latest Vita sizzle reel:

There was also a Super Stardust Delta that Sony are labelling as “the Gamescom trailer”, but as far as I can tell it’s just the E3 video again.

  1. Gravity Rush looking amazing, but would they please stop changing the name? Gravity Daze, Gravity, Project: Gravity and Gravity Rush…
    There’s probably been others, too.
Modnation Racers is looking unbelievably good, and isn’t the only game that looks like it was made for Vita- see Little Big Planet.
I wonder if Escape Plan will have a level editor? Could be a darker alternative to LBP…
Virtua Tennis is always welcome, doubt I’ll be using the touchscreen for that though.
As much as I like the idea of the staggered multiplayer of Hustle Kings, it’s hard for me to get excited of a pool game. My excitement are at heart attack levels for that compared to Top Darts though.

  2. Oh Escape Plan looks very awesome, like, Limbo awesome.

In fact everything looks looks awesome!. It sure makes our good friend Matthew Seymour’s “car wreck” analogy seem pretty short sighted.

  3. LBP always manages to get great, upbeat music for it’s trailers, and it is also looking amazing, one of my most anticipated games for the Vita. Modnation is also looking… Well, exactly like Modnation on PS3, which is great.

  4. I think that lots of people will buy the PSVITA version of Modnation Racers, also in Hustle Kings love the idea of connecting with the PS3.

  5. Loving ALL those games! The visuals look excellent and the control methods used look suited to the title, not just crowbarred in by order of Sony. I guess we now know what works touch screen and what needs physical controls thanks to iOS and Android titles.

  6. The Escape Plan is news to me and looks superb! I would be tempted to buy the Vita for that alone… but all the games look amazing!

  7. Probably won’t be re-buying LBP and ModNation Racers until the game prices begin to drop a little. I’m all over Ruin, Uncharted, Escape Plan, and Gravity Rush however.

  8. gravity rush definitely looks interesting.
kind of reminds me of a dream i had once, something went wrong with the world and gravity had stopped working, somehow, and buildings were floating around.
and there was only one person who could stop it, and i think that person was the flash.
    you know from the comic.

    i have weird dreams.

i had one about this team of spartans, the super soldiers from the halo games not the soldiers from sparta, years ago.
they were in this mountainous region, and i remember a waterfall, and some caves, thinking about it, it was a lot like reach.
but it was years before reach.

    now, where was i?
    oh yeah.

LPB looks like it’ll be another decent version of the game, i’d leave level creation to other people more talented than me though. ^_^

modnation racers looks good, with a level creator tool i could actually make a halfway decent, or at least not totally unplayable, level with.
incidentally, does anybody know if it’s possible to make the tracks crossover in the psp modnation?

i can’t see that darts game getting a full price release, it looks like a budget priced downloadable game to me.
not that it’ll be bad it’s just it looks a little limited in it’s appeal.

and virtua tennis will no doubt be a fun tennis game, as that series usually is.
with better control options than the psp version it should be a step up from that.
i wonder if it will have the same problem the other games had where your player is suddenly unable to return the ball when they reach a certain rank and your opponents suddenly seem to get a hundred times better.
the strange thing is, they’re often the same players you played before, but suddenly they’re so much better.
it’s not a gradual thing either, it’s just once you rweach a certain point the difficulty just goes stratospheric.

  9. Gravity Rush looks interesting

  10. LBP and MNR look perfect as handheld games. Gravity Rush looks sweet and Escape Plan looks annoyingly difficult but cool. Let’s just hope the games come at a reasonable price, because if not, gamers will have to take to the streets.

    • Not so bad when you can play those games while on the street?
