Word just in from THQ that they’re bringing WWE All Stars to Nintendo’s dimensionally abundant little handheld. The arcade stylings of this wrestling game were a quiet hit on the big consoles earlier this year with my personal highlight being the inclusion of Randy Savage in a WWF/WWE game for the first time in ages.
All Stars is a lot more of an over-the-top (rope) arcade experience than the Smackdown games have been, with plenty of caricatured classic and current wrestling talent with which to lay the smack down. It sounds like a great fit for the 3DS.
The 3DS version will also come with the 13 DLC wrestlers, that arrived fashionably late on the PS3 and 360, right from the start. Time to relive that Million Dollar Man feud with the Big Bossman from 1990 while I’m on the train…

Not for me but I’m reminded of the last time i watched wrestling on tv, it was called Super Channel (before Sky) and the only names i remember are Jake the Snake and Jimmy Superfly (-snookah?). Any of those names ring a bell? :)
colossalblue
Yeah, Jake Roberts and Jimmy Snuka are both legends and are both in this game, if memory serves :)
Crazy_Del
They both are in the game ;)

Cool guys, takes me back to my college days, ’86 – ’88, staying in digs. In fact i remember a few bouts kicking off with my fellow tenants … ah…nostalgia.. >_<
Crazy_Del
Well mine was 1989 – 1998 Best WWF before WWE took over and then the DIVAS (-_-) (it’s ok just too much and a bore great to watch sometimes lol)
Favourites was Bret Hart and Undertaker. Both are in the game also!

Not sure how well this will transfer to a handheld. The game has became a firm favourite when the lads are round in local multiplayer. So much fun and the game doesn’t take itself seriously. It is however heavy on the joypads, especially the analogues so I cannot see it working on the 3DS.
I would however advise anyone who plays games in local multiplayer to check this out on PS3 or 360, it’s usually less than £20 on the likes of Play / Zavvi.
