3DS Circle Pad Attachment Priced, Compatible Games Listed

The 3DS Circle Pad attachment, unveiled to a bit of an uproar, has been priced and dated for Japan. It will cost 1500 Yen (£12.30) and be out on December 10th.

A list of compatible games has also been released: Resident Evil: Revelations, Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D, Ace Combat 3D Cross Rumble, Dynasty Warriors Vs and Kingdom Hearts 3D.

Having played the Resident Evil demo I’m actually quite relieved. Playing the game with the one Circle Pad felt very clunky.

  1. Priced more reasonably than I thought it would be, but I still cannot see myself buying one.

    I still think the 3ds is the best thing Nintendo have done since the N64, it already has more quality titles than the Wii and I’m loving Starfox and DOA at the moment.

    • Really? I personally think the DS Lite is the best thing they’ve produced in several years – arguably it’s even better than the N64, purely because of its accessibility and games. Ninty really seem to have lost their way with the 3DS – and they seem to have fallen off the map with the WiiU.

  2. After all the abuse Sony got over going with one stick on the PSP, at least they didn’t bring out a nasty bolt on to ruin the aesthetic of their product. The Nintendo designers must be crying into their coffees, poor bastards.

    • I don’t know how in this day and age they thought they could get away without a second analog stick to begin with.

  3. That attachment is absolutely horrible, I don’t plan on buying a 3DS anyway but that add on is a huge deterrent.

  4. I’m guessing the battery will power the stick for a good length of time but it’ll still be annoying when it runs out.

  7. This is basically an admition that Nintendo screwed up. A change so big so early on in its life cycle isn’t good.

    Even if I had a 3DS and wanted the add on I just can’t imagine wanting anyone to see me using it in public.
