THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED

Keeping up with our influx of competitions, we have another competition for you. This time we have Gears of War 3 on offer. We have one copy of the game and a Calibur 11 Vault (as seen in the picture below) up for grabs for one lucky winner. If you need some motivation to get your hands on a copy take a look at our review.
All that you need to do to be in with a chance of winning is participate in a bit of trailer trivia. We want to know the artist and song featured in each of the following trailers spanning from Gears of War to Gears of War 3.
Trailer 1
Trailer 2
Trailer 3
Trailer 4
Email us your answers (and TSA id) at adam[at]thesixthaxis[dot]com by 6:00 pm on Sunday 25th September BST. Remember, we want the artist and the song from each trailer. The winner will be chosen at random from those that answer correctly. Remember to check back on TSA to see if you have won!

Really love the way both gears of war and assassins creed do their trailers so atmospheric, I actually got goosebumps in the latest assassins creed when Ezio looks across at Altair at the end.

The first Gears trailer, with THAT song really started something of a trend with getting lovely and atmospheric trailers out there. Maybe not heart-wrenching, but delightfully atmospheric.
The latest F1 2011 trailer, for example, really does a great job. AC:R, as you mentioned. Dead Island’s now infamous reveal trailer. Even Battlefield 3, with the heavy distortion and driving drum beat underneath the cacophony of war in the latest gameplay trailers does a good job.
Trailers are getting better and better as time goes on, to the extent that the games now struggle to live up to them!

Sweet comp (too bad I don’t have an Xbox or UK adress).
The first trailer is good, but watching the rest right after I can’t help but think that the creators are lazy and just copy themselves over and over again.

Noooo, the first one was, like, a Christmas hit a few years back… Crazy Frog wasn’t it?

Don’t really like the vault (have an elite anyway) and picked up my epic edition today.
But good idea for a competition, good luck to those who enter.
But damn GeoW ads are brilliant, Sony really should take a look at the Gears adverts and use them as inspiration, they’re just all so good! I remember watching the first trailer around the same time Sony had those rubbish launch ads, what a difference a good marketing team makes.
Although one thing I’ve noticed is that Sony tend to use actual gameplay footage in their ads whilst MS tend to aim towards the more cinematic approach. But hey, if it works it works.

I remember buying the first song on CD years ago, might still have it kicking around somewhere….
