OnLive launches in the UK today and whilst lucky punters down at EGX will be picking up an OnLive micro-console for free this morning, everyone else can buy a console for £69.99 from GAME stores.
Once you have your console you must sign up for account via Onlive.co.uk. Games have ‘competitive prices starting at £1.99’ or you can sign up for the PlayPack deal which features over a hundred games for £6.99 a month. The PlayPack offer includes Fear 3, Borderlands, Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Saints Row 2. If you do sign up to the PlayPack you’ll also get 30% off all full game purchases.
Single games can be rented for three days, five days or unlimited access. The OnLive FAQ states that ‘at minimum, all current games will be supported for three years after their release’.
The ‘full’ version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution can be purchased for £34.99, the same price has also been set for Warhammer 40,00: Space Marine and Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood.
BT Broadband customers will be receiving a free three month membership to the PlayPack scheme.

I just signed up for my bt trial and it seems they dont have enough servers running as it says “The OnLive Gaming Service is currently full. You will be connected as soon as possible. ….” Thank god it’s a free trial, I would’ve been really angry if I’d paid to be in a queue, lol
