It has been confirmed that a ‘Season Pass’ style offer will be made available for Forza 4. Costing 2400 MSP, it will give you access to six DLC packs, with a total of 60 cars between November 2011 and April 2012. Apparently this adds up to a 30% saving over buying them all individually.

its a lot of money to spend when you do not know what your paying for.

How much is 2400 msp?
job
about £20.

Tempting but I want to see how much the new wheels are going to cost before I consider buying this game. I hated gt5, but when played with a wheel it was brilliant

I wish they’d use money instead of points. I really wouldn’t have a clue how much that was. Job says £20, I’ll go with that.. It’s quite a lot, but six DLC packs is quite a lot, 60 cars too, seems okay, but would there be tracks too? That would make it better.

MS points multiplied by 0.85 gives the amount in GBP.

Really hate this direction devs are taking with this season pass thing.

I’m finding myself less interested in the “AAA” titles recently, it seems you’re only getting half the game you used to, with the rest sold seperately. DLC has become a cash-cow no devs can resist

I really like this season pass idea.
Online Pass: “What can we take away to give us reason to charge?”
Season Pass: “What can we do to add incentive to keeping hold of the game?”

It’s a cynical view but I’m seeing DLC develop from what was originally a positive idea to an excuse for developers to intentionally leave stuff out of the game for easy money later on. Especially when it’s announced before the main games release.

Totally agree, it’s getting out of hand!
This is akin to saying…
Buy Forza 4 for £40 and to reward you, we’ll hold back 60 cars and trickle feed you them over the next 6 months for an additional £20. That’s right, you can now pay 50% more than the normal retail price of a game for the privilege of having some of your game content withheld from you.
People can hate on GT5 all they want, but at least every update to date has been free.

its actually a very clever and a little bit sly bit of marketing people will buy the season pass for the saving but will then also keep that game longer than they might hjave even if they do not like it. It all seems part of a dedicated campaign to slow the used game markrt.
Starman
I can only see the big fans of a game that wouldn’t sell it anyway buying a season pass. Especially at the high prices the passes are
