Hitman: Absolution “A Personal Story”

Hakan Abrak from IO Interactive has revealed that Agent 47 will be working alone in Hitman: Absolution, and the “personal” story will reveal more about the character.

“I think one big difference is the story. You’ve been used to these traditional hits, Diana giving you a hit as the pacing of the story. It’s very different in this one because Hitman has to work alone. He’s been betrayed and he’s being hunted.”

Actress Marsha Thomason has already recorded mo-cap for the character of Diana so Agent 47 won’t be totally alone. The game will feature improved AI and a new ‘instinct’ mode that helps our favourite killer blend in to the background.

“The players use ‘Instinct’ to react to situations. For example, if you are disguised as a doctor you’ll write in your notepad to remain undetected, if you are police you’ll talk into your radio.”

  1. I’m interested to see how this pans out, always quite liked the idea of hitman on next gen console

    • If done correctly it could be excellent, the old ones were great. Definitely one to look out for but something tells me it’s going to score 6s and 7s across the board.

      • I agree with you completely. I recently played Blood Money on the 360 and it was as good as I remembered, however my friend tried it and didn’t like it. Hitman has always been a series for which you had to accept a few flaws (sometimes big ones) for the unique gameplay. I fear the current generation is less patient then we might have been back in the day.

  2. “I think one big difference is the story.” You can npw see through bloody walls.

    • The series was previously challenging, thus rewarding. This making games more accessible is crazy. I was gaming in Junior school & managed fine.
