New Trailer For Warp Shows Off Skills

Fight the power.

There’s a new trailer for upcoming PSN/XBLA/PC puzzler, Warp. The game, from Trapdoor and EA, is intended to show off a couple of the alien protagonist’s abilities.

Zero, our escaping alien hero, uses Echo and Swap abilities to dupe his human captors into killing themselves. It all looks quite interesting and more than a little amusing.

  1. Looks like a lot of fun!

  2. Ok,I’m about to post something off topic so might as well comment on this. So here goes -> Cool!

Now to the real matter. This made me think of a game I watched a trailer for a while back, pretty sure on this site. You played as a person that was in a big house. You had to try get out. It was a puzzle game of sorts. You had to pick up blocks of some sort and insert them in a machine which could give you powers such as slow down time.

Details are fast slipping away from my memory. Must be getting old. But it is one of those things that is just starting to piss me off that I can’t remember.

    • Also, I’ll ignore your typo in the last paragraph CB. Know you got a hard time for one earlier and are still waiting for your third cup of coffee. I’ve had mine so I have no excuses ;)

      • when I make my third typo I win a free toaster. In the bath.

    • Might be Atari’s Haunted House: http://www.atari.com/hauntedhouse
Or a game that’s in development from the studio set up by Portal co-creator. I think that one’s called Quantum Conundrum, it’s got different dimensions that play with gravity and time (and fluffiness). http://www.quantumconundrum.com/

      • Perfect, it was Quentum Conundrum. Thanks, that was really doing my head in. Good luck with the toaster.

  3. This looks very interesting and is now on my magical radar of video-game goodness.

    Cheers, Peter.

  4. Looks like a really amusing puzzle game. Some nice gameplay mechanics at play here.

  5. This looks cool, might get a little samey though? All down to the cleverness of the puzzle maker…
