PSN Store Update: 26/10/11

[drop2]Today sees the launch (brought forward a week) of PixelJunk’s Sidescroller, which we really liked back at E3 – go read our hands on preview here.

There’s also some arcade throwback racing from SEGA in the form of the classic Daytona, which is apparently rather good if you like your old school driving. What the hell happened to Daytona?

The stand-alone inFamous 2 spin-off, Festival of Blood sinks its fangs into us though. Electricity and bloodsucking don’t seem like natural bedfellows but inFamous is brilliant and with Halloween spookily close, that’ll probably be worth a look.

There’s also a demo of Grease Dance and a handful of minis to enjoy in the shape of the Open Emotion Triple Pack, which is well worth a punt, as well as a Carnivores bundle and Bee Wars.

As for the rest of the goodies, well, jump through to page two for the full list: it’s right there.

  1. can you gameshare bf3? i have friends. but im worried about the online pass if only 1 person can play at a time..???

    • would it work if i brought the game on my account then my friend buy online pass from there account… hell of alot cheaper..

      • Somehow I very much doubt this will be possible.

      • why not almost all psn games can be shared with 4 other people with same account. so if we brought the game from 1 account then they could buy there own onlinepass to play multiplayer…

      • You can game share online passes and the online passes will work on other accounts

      • im wondering if the online pass will work when more than 1 user is using account.? oh well only time will tell.. 2 days to goooo. :)

      • Online pass is built in the digital version of the game, and will work on all five accounts. Confirmed with NFS:HP, Borderlands and other, don’t see why BF3 should be different.

  2. Dead Nation for me – I didn’t choose that as one of my freebies after the PSN kerfuffle…

    • Good pick, enjoy it – tis a rightly fun game.

  3. Is Ra One the Bollywood Tron film rip off!

  4. Nothing for me this week. Yet more bad pricing of games.

  5. Can I just ask, what’s up with PS store updates and PS+ extras. They seemed to had thinned out of the past weeks/months.

  6. Do my eye decive me or is that Silent Hill i see? :D

£50 for BF3, that won’t come with a manual or disc or case or new game smell. What a bargain!

I was hoping that we would get a proper BF3 MP demo.

  7. Quite a bit for me. Limbo reduced, great news, that’s on my list.

  8. Dead nation? Really? After the psn hack?

    • Yeah, i don’t see why not – I know quite a few people that didn’t choose that as one of their two ‘welcome back’ games & will definitely pick it up now instead.

  9. Limbo for me, it was only the price that put me off getting it before, it’s still expensive compared to the Steam version, but I like my dualshock.
