GTA V – First Trailer Goes Live

After one hell of an initial reveal (causing all manner of me-too articles and year-old wish lists to plague the internet for the following week) Rockstar have finally revealed the actual trailer.

Here it is.

Like it? Love it? We want to know what you think – good or bad. Is this the future of gaming or just something that’s already overhyped? Go wild. Don’t hold back.

  1. The game looks great. Now all we need is a release date. I typed in http://gtav.com and its a website with information on grand theft auto 5. Is that rockstar games fan site for the game? They have some good details about GTA V. Anyways the graphics looked pretty good and it has me excited!!

  2. Maybe not the best trailer ever, but more than enough to get me psyched for this game! It looks very promising, with a much nicer and more varied setting than IV. There’s alot to analyse in here.

The only thing I don’t like is that it’s called GTA V and not GTA Vinewood or something, because it was 10 years between III and IV and now just 4 years between IV and V.

  3. IV never kept me grabbed as long as III & VC did, really didn’t like SA, hopefully this is nothing like that.

Seeing the jet racing through the city probably means you can ride one, which would be cool especially given the worlds that R* make which are in a whole different league to the blank pop-up textures & flat lighting model of Saints Row.

Love the fun of Saints Row, but I hope this isn’t anywhere near as ridiculous, just hope it’s a tad more fun than IV whilst fixing the flying floaty cars & other stuff.

    Day 1 though motha-funners

    • looks like it’ll have the serious story with a family side but with the same gameplay as the ballad of gay tony. Good mix if you ask me

    • and I thought I was the only one to dislike San Andreas. If it is SA 2 I’ll be skipping it. If it is back to the story telling of III or VC I’ll buy it. That simple really.

      • I am of exactly the same opinion tbh. Make it fun again, or just don’t bother.

Oh & you were definitely not the only one to dislike SA – I couldn’t even bring myself to finish it.

  4. I was hoping they were going to set it in the future, but its looks good, but need more info before I am sold

  5. The business man at the 46 mark looks a little like tommy vercetti.

    • i wouldn’t be shocked at all if they mixed in a few old faces

    • Well thats what I predicted, hehe

      • I think you play as Tommy. He’s in the suit, in the armed raid and driving a car. R* usually show the main protagonist in their trailers.

  6. Decent trailer (lets face it, Rockstar are the masters of teaser trailers). For me the decision is easy; if its all serious like GTAIV I won’t be going near it, but if its fun like GTA3/Saints Row then I’ll buy it day one :)

    • hope it is nothing like saints row GTA4 is one of the best games made imo.

    • I didn’t like Saints Row much, I don’t understand how nerfed animation could be so exciting just found it to be flawed even sniping random people was ruined by silly draw Distance.

I just want it in the levels of Vice and San…. it made cop chases fun, IV was ok but maybe a bit too realistic.

  7. Looks much better than 4

  8. looks amazing have faith in Rockstar to make a great game liked all the GTAS so far.

  9. Love the look of this. mix of gritty and glam and with the odd hint of political stuff in the back ground. as always rockstar impressive. Looks like they are building on all the GTA’s as well as red dead

out of interets does anyone know the song? i really like the sound of it

  10. Looks awesome. I can not wait!
