Warning, MW3 spoilers below.
Modern Warfare 2 baited the tabloids with the infamous No Russian scene, but this year’s game takes things a little further. Too far?
Don’t watch if you’re easily offended, and also want to avoid any spoilers. We’re assuming this will sit behind a similar question to the one that skipped over the scene in MW2.

The section involves a terrorist attack on London, an exploding van and the release of toxic gas. And, in dramatic fashion, the death of a family.
Update: the video has been removed by Activision
Update: There’s another video but expect Activision to have this one removed soon too.

Why do people make a fuss over this?
You do realise in GTA, you can kill pedestrians.

Thats the same point i made previously, and thats just a guy killing for money and such. In this, its war and terrorism, If this was a 12 then ok, i’d understand the fuss…

The reaction from some people make it as if Activision publically killed a family. I was really sensitive and emotional about a certain game that had barely anything violent in it, it doesn’t mean I should demand that it be removed so I and a few others can be, ‘shielded’ from it, I actually learn’t a lot from it.
Sure, complain about its shoddy implementation, but its a work of fiction and itll evoke different responses from everyone just like every other piece of media in existence. Certain responses or content do not deserve more attention than others, everyone can get emotional over or offended by something.

i really dont see the problem, To be honest they could have made it worse if they just wanted to outright offend people. but they handled it well.
grimm
I got to this scene in the game last night. I don’t actually mind the violence of it or anything like that, however I did think that it was unnecessary and not really relevant to the story. In fact it really did feel like it was there ONLY to cause controversy.
I was more bothered by the fact that it was wasting my time and taking me out of the action rather than the nature of it.

To me this seems like nothing more than a publicity-stunt, unneeded grittiness to spark controversy. Under the right circumstances I would be for pretty much any violence in games or movies, but in this context I don’t see it as any other thing than a scream for attention, which I dislike.
And they get what they want with it, controversy. I don’t care much though, obviously having this banned or anything is quite the ridiculous suggestion, if anyone has made it, that is.

Is there anywhere we can still see the video clip? I just says it’s been “removed due to copyright claims by activision” (very lame, IMHO)
