Modern Warfare 3 Title Update Released

Hello there Modern Warfarers (is that an actual thing?), yesterday saw the release of a new title update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. On the surface is doesn’t look to be the biggest patch in the world, but every little helps.

  • Fire rate normalization for Assault Rifles with undermounts
  • FMG9 Re-balancing (Nerf)
  • Akimbo FMG9 Re-balancing (Nerf)
  • Type95 Re-balancing (Nerf) – Reduce hipspread.
  • Fix for ACR with Red Dot / Shotgun
  • Fix Type 95 bug related to dropping it.
  • Fix map exploits on Dome

Re-balancing and Updates currently in Development and/or Discussion:

– ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW –
  • Updates to the Spawn system
  • Further “lag compensation” or “host advantage / disadvantage” updates plus ability for on-going hot fixes based on feedback.
  • Fix for Shotgun’s with Extended Mags (Prevents them from shooting more pellets than intended)
  • Default :30 Round Start timer for System Link only, while looking into adjustable timer for System Link games for Competitive Play.
  • Options to allow System Link players to ‘unlock all’ for competitive play in System Link only.

Unfortunately they still don’t have a patch that makes me supreme CoD overlord. One day…

  1. Really awaiting the Spawn system update.
    Enemies seem to spawn in my aim every once in a while.

    • Once in a while? Lucky!! It Happens to me ALL the time. Its a joke!

    • So sick of taking one to the back of the head right after I respawn. Dead in like 2 seconds. WTF was that about. ARC FTW

  2. I hope they patch the 100.3% completion on the Campaign. Absolute joke that testers or whoever didn’t complete it on Veteran with all Intel, and check the percentage. It’s staring at you on the main game screen!! They couldn’t even count the number of Intel packages correctly.

  3. I was wondering why everyone was using the Type 95. I wish they’d kept the famas, I loved that gun. Silenced…. for my pleasure

    • I miss the TAR-21, great rifle for range (burst fire it), but excellent fire rate for close quarters. We shared many good times together.

      The closest I can get to it is with the FAD, but I suspect that will pass. Otherwise it’s the “noob” ACR for me, or the M16.

      • I’m loving the Scar and the CM901. I never used to use silencers in MW2 apart from the Famas. They are working wonders for me. The MW3 M16 is a bit hit and miss for me. Always seems laggy, or as if the trigger is stuck. I used to love it in MW2, I always prefered the 3 burst fire guns but not this time

      • I’m the same mate, MW 1&2 i loved the M16, it was really acurate but now it just a bit messy. I’m using the M60E at the moment. That and the MP7

      • I couldn’t get on with the CM901 as I lost any CQ due to its slow fire rate – although I wonder if this has been patched as it seemed to fire pretty quick in Spec Ops last night, although I suspect the weapons are balanced differently in multiplayer.

        I’ve not really used the SCAR yet. I used to use the SCAR a fair bit in MW2, as it was pretty much the same as the TAR, but with a lower fire rate, and better accuracy. I’ll give it a try. I’m not Prestiging again so it’ll give me a chance to have a play with all the guns!

  4. They need to fix the private lobbies! Cut down from 16 to 9 players :(

    • 9 Players? How does that work on team games then?

    • Plus, if it’s set to Invite Only then you can just invite 8 people…..unless I’m missing something?

  8. Glad about the spawn system update the only other thing I’d like is make the javelin vehicle lock on only I’m sick of people using it all the time
