  1. No 32GB card? WTF? That is one way to piss off your possible buyers. I’ve got mine on pre-order but I really wanted a 32GB so I could put games I buy off PSN and have some of my favourite PSP games on.

Then again there is always importing.

    • No plans for it at launch, I’m not really a fan of digital downloads because if files are huge then it will eat up a lot of space.
I’ll be getting Uncharted, a 16gb card(probably for the apps), AC adapter and headset.

      • I like the digital nature, I am still rocking a white PSPgo with its filled 16GB memory card and the internal 16GB is almost full so I’m sure that I will fill any card but bigger is better.

Seems Sony want to force Euro PS fans to be limitd by 16GB.

    • there is a 32gb card, dunno why its not listed on sony site its listed as $99.99 dunno if thats a serious price

  2. Uncharted is priced absolutely ridiculously. I don’t care if its AAA and amazing, €50 for a portable game is insane. I could buy 5 79c apps for my iPod and probably play them for the same amount of time that it would take to finish Golden Abyss. And by the way, I’m not hating on Uncharted, I love the series, but honestly…

    • I agree but don’t forget you will likely get 50% back at least on your Vita game…

      • On trade-ins yeah, but digital copies will be much too expensive, and no trade-ins for them :(

    • Digital will be cheaper. And don’t forget this is RRP prices so you will probably find UC:GA atleast for €40

    • The game has all the hight production values of the Uncharted series, graphics not too far off the PS3 and is an Uncharted game in every sense.

Just because you can carry it in your pocket it doesnt make it ‘less’ of game than the other Uncharteds, its a AAA game so you are paying a AAA price.

You are still thinking that portable games are going to be inferior to console games as they have always been. That is no longer the case.

    • These are RRP prices. I’m sure it’ll be priced around £35

  3. “The 4GB PS Vita Memory Card is only included in a special bundle in the USA, it is not included in the standard PS Vita launch pack.”

    DEEEEEEEERP SCEE.

Looks like I have to import a 32GB card from the US.

    • I’ve been debating wether or not to import one. You can pick on up from Japan for £106

      http://www.play-asia.com/PSVita_PlayStation_Vita_Memory_Card_32GB/paOS-13-71-1ax-49-en-70-4fak.html

Do we know for sure that the memory cards will work with any version console? (I know it shouldn’t make a different but spending that sort of money on a memory card I want to know if it works before I buy).

      • £106 for a 32GB card?! You can get two 16GB cards for that and still spare some money. A single 32GB card will most likely cost less than two 16GB cards (I’m guessing somewhere between £60 and £80), so save some money and import it from the US or be patient and wait for it to come out in Europe.

      • To expensive O_o Gonna import it from the US, it costs 99$ over there, which is 64£. Shipping is not going to be much on such a small item.

      • Yeah but still 32GB > hassle free

I bet it’ll cost around £120 though, wouldn’t be surprised

      • I’m already at 32GB on my PSPgo and it’s not enough. One of the reason why I haven’t brought many games lately.

As for having two cards, bad idea. This things are tiny. I don’t want to have to be removing them on a regular basis plus trying to keep the other one safe.

  4. Just a 4GB memory card and Golden Abyss for me at launch. Hopefully we’ll get a few items sent to TSA Towers to review too. I’m guaranteed to be lumped with naff ones (joke!)

  5. Argh, feck was hoping to put loads of PSP games on the Vita… now 16GB would be a waste if there ever was to be a 32GB memory stick..

    Typical SCEE >.>

  6. Most of the prices seem reasonable. Uncharted’s a bit too high, but most places will sell it for less, so no worries. The memory cards though, they’re too expencive. The 16 should cost what the 8 costs, the 8 what the 4 costs and the 4 should have been included with the Vita. The starter kit seems to come with a 4GB card, so I guess that will be worth getting.

  7. This information is pretty painful to hear about (especially since i am in Australia and will be facing the second highest pricing scheme)

i mean this is going to cost more then a PS3 does here and thats saying something.

though im fine with paying for all the necessary or desired accessories because i can see myself playing this more then my PS3 (just like i did with the gameboy, gameboy colour, gameboy advance, DS and PSP)

for some reason i like having the freedom to move while i game.

i tried to play Deus Ex on my PS3 yesterday (great game!) and i just could not get into it, i was moving around my room, turning my tv to different positions just to find one which i was happy with and in the end i just gave up.
with a portable device, you are always inches away from the screen and if your unhappy you just move it back or fourth with no hassle.
plus you dont have to be sitting straight on a chair to play a portable system (in fact its recommended that you don’t)

id love to have a PSVita but im not sure if 60 days is enough time to save up.

  8. Cool that we’re getting six AR cards but elsewhere the cards are a bit too expensive, I’d like a USB cable with the console and I’m still moaning about the lack of internal memory.

    • Ok, just discovered there is a USB cable in the box, but I’d still like some memory

  9. Man the price of the memory is really taking the piss

    • Even at half the price they would still be expensive.

      • 8MB PS1 Memory Cards were about over or near £5.. this is 1000x the memory for 6x the cost. Looking at it that way makes you think this is a good deal but I know that expensive is expensive, no matter the value.

  10. This information is the reason why the Vita will not be as successful as Sony are wanting it to be.
The download prices will be ridiculous just like 99% of the PS3 download prices are on the store.
