Dragging us back, just a little, to games, what is your most favourite game of all time?
I’m drawn towards Mass Effect 2. I’d never even considered it until it hit PS3, but got obsessed. Loved it, all the way to the platinum.
I’d like to give Skyrim an honourable mention though, it might’ve taken it but it’s started to get real buggy on me 140 hours in which has pissed me off.
Chomping at the bit to get at Mass Effect 3?
I’m waiting for ME3, unless the original comes to PSN with trophies.
What letter does Skyrim begin with? Coincidence? I think not!
Oh, and also Shepard from ME2!
YES! There is clearly a pattern. From ME2 and Skyrim, I can take it you’re a big, big fan of RPGs?
I play any game type to be honest, I like my shooters, sports games but yes I’d say RPGs engross me the most
It’s all the levelling up and looting, I tell you if CoD introduced looting they’d be on to a winner
Probably! I like how, in Rage, when you loot a corpse it jerks a little bit.
I find it wonderfully perverse.
Now you’re turning me on!
Sorry, as we chat I’m highly distracted. I’m on an exercise bike in the gym and there’s a ridiculously fit woman getting all sweaty on the bike directly opposite me!
Hopefully this will help. Think back, as best you can, and pick out the most embarrassing or worst game you ever bought.
Oh that’s easy. I’ve heard people defend it but I played Terminator: Salvation purely for the platinum, it was rubbish!
Did you not enjoy it, even a teensy bit, or are you a known trophy whore?
I enjoy getting platinum trophies, though I only have 16, I think. That’s it. Nothing to enjoy other than that, it was rubbish!
I try to steer clear of rubbish these days, but I used to have a very tight trophy battle with my brother. It was neck and neck from the introduction of trophies until last summer.
What happened last summer?
He just stopped playing out of nowhere, I’ve built an unassailable lead now and he’s started playing again for Skyrim and MW3, but during the time we’d play anything for trophies.
He said he was bored of rubbish games, which is fair enough but after the deluge of quality Christmas titles he’s back.
Well at least he saw a bit of sense! Did you previously have any big head-to-head multiplayer duels in games?
We did have a thing on Speedball 2 when we were kids. I honestly never beat him, not once in hundreds of games, but I was winning once with hardly any time left, he was getting mad like a hatter and shouting and screaming at the TV. My dad flicked the fuse box switch just before full time to shut him up. That was the closest I came.
We still get together for some online co-op from time to time, but we never both seem available at the same time
A good moral victory
He won’t have it that I won though! I take pride in all my CoD stats being better than his though!
Aside from Mass Effect 3, what titles are you most looking forward to?
You know what, there’s nothing at all that comes to mind. I’m sure something will pop up but for now I’m happy ploughing through my 8 game back catalogue.
Only 8 games? Other peoples’ piles of shame put your pile to shame!
Rage, Warhammer, BF3, Skyrim, Cricket ‘11, Batman: Arkham City, Lord of the Rings… I can’t think of 8th!
Maybe it doesn’t exist?
I know but I don’t like having more than one on the go at once. Oh, the other is FIFA. FIFA and CoD don’t count, I keep them to have a quick go of but generally I like to finish one move on to the next
I find I can’t keep more than one or two on the go at the same time either… Hence why my backlog is on the up, because I also quite like the new shiny thing.
I get confused with what button does what and what the story was.
The only reason I got Rage and Warhammer is because my brother got me a £40 Game card for Christmas, and it was burning a hole in the wallet. I got them for £20 in the sale so still have £20 to put toward ME3.
Rage is pretty decent on the whole… I should go and finish it. How did you stumble across TSA?
Take a guess? I honestly have no idea.
But I’m here now and here to stay, until I get perma-ban!
I’ll let Steven guess, and then just paste that in for you. Do you like it here?
I think it was some site or others ban hammer that ruined my memory, large whack to the head!
Love it, only one thing annoys me, but that’s more my problem than anyone else’s.
How does it feel being the One True Tony, too?
I’ve always been the one true tony. Nobody, not even Tony Montana can challenge that! He could come at me with his little friend and I’d defend my name to the death!
What about Tony the Tiger?
Nope, he’s got no chance, I was Tony the Tiger before he was even invented!
Mark Antony?
He’s just a dirty back stabbing Roman!
Oh wait, that was Brutus.
Antony was one of the good guys, I thought? Certainly he had a bit of a thing with Cleo. Bonus points for that.
My memory of schoolwork isn’t what it used to be…
There’s a theme running here ain’t there?
Is it still to do with the letter ‘S’? Are we in an episode of Sesame Street, sponsored by the letter ‘S’ and the number ‘5’?
What’s the letter ‘S’ got to do with anything?
Oh, probably nothing. Do you have any favourite front-page features of TSA?
Yeah I like the Community Round-Up, and WeView is great, basically because they both focus on the awesome community TSA has, which is honestly like nothing I’ve ever encountered outside of the training camp.
Are you even allowed out? And if you were, would there be any TSAgents that you’d actually be OK with meeting?
My Mrs does allow me out from time to time, but she has no idea what I get up to!
Yes there are, as it goes I’ve been stalking you for quite a while Tef, now open the door before I break it down!
Wrong house… Always the wrong house. You should give up while you’re still failing.
Other than that Aerobes is properly cool and that’d net me a trip to USA.
Oh, good call! Can more of us come along?
OK is a good bloke, as is Yogdog, Moshi is a dude, there’s loads basically. This is like the Oscars. I want to thank everyone! What award did I win?
You won… A speedboat!
Wicked I always wanted one.
Gimme five. I’ve gotta get naked, have a quick shower, and exit the gym before I get locked in!

E8_BALL_
hilarious:) Loved the banter from both of you, best Meet the Reader i’ve read.
I faintly remember, being able to remember.
teflon
I felt quite close to you this morning, Tony. Now that I’m more distant, I feel more secure again.
tonycawley
That’s because I was pretending to be your window cleaner, watching you in bed while you sleep! I got the right address this time.
teflon
I don’t have a window cleaner…
Maybe you were just a bit closer with your guess than usual.
tonycawley
Huh, when did this conversation occur? I don’t remember it!
We both know you didn’t edit it because you couldn’t be bothered!
cam the man
Tef did a good job not editing it, well funny.
Origami Killer
Very funny indeed, probably the best MTR so far! First sentence already had me in stitches. But your memory really isn’t the best though :P
freezebug2
Hello T, gotta admit you brush up well, that yellow top really suits you :P
Love the rants and opinions in the forums, keep it up dude ;)
tonycawley
Oi, are you looking at my Mrs? *thump*
Jones81
ah quality Sunday read tony, much more fulfilling than the Sunday times, and with more filth!
tonycawley
Sunday times is far too educational for a Sunday, actually impossible to read it all in a day. Actually far better to just chat with me instead ;-)
Rocket_345
Very funny that one. One of the best MTR yet. You definately need to work on your memory.
tonycawley
I generally remember what I have to, the rest gets lost in oblivion. You don’t use it you lose it.
tonyyeb
Hilarious, if at times very wrong! Now I know what makes a real Tony I realise that I have some way to go. Great read.
MtR: possibly the best TSA feature in the world.
tonycawley
You’re just too sensible to be a tony. Become a little more ridiculous and you can be initiated.
tonyyeb
Finally, somebody thinks I’m sensible!
TheDemocrodile
come one guys, the classic that was Toejam and earl was on the magadrive! many many happy memories of the twoplayer mode..god damned boogeyman… :)
tonycawley
If I’d have really really thought about it I would’ve remembered that. I was a little distracted at the time.
bluewolf
Any fan of Toejam & Earl (even if he is as mad as a brush), is alright by me.
tonycawley
I’m glad I get your approval. I’m not really that mad, Teflon just does strange things to me, I come over all woozy in his presence.
