Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection #1 Dated for LIVE

Activision has revealed that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection #1 will release on Xbox LIVE on 20th March. The collection includes four brand new multiplayer maps: Liberation, Piazza, Overwatch and Black Box, along with new Special Ops Missions ‘Black Ice’ and ‘Negotiator’.

“In “Black Box,” players will battle beside a downed Air Force One amidst multi-level homes overlooking the luxurious Southern California neighbourhood. Infiltrating a diamond mine aboard a snowmobile in the Special Ops mission “Black Ice,” your primary objective is to plant high-grade explosives in order to shut the mine down forever. In “Negotiator,” you head to India for high-stakes hostage extraction in which you’ll breach-and-clear rooms and navigate surface streets to ensure the safety of your VIPs.”

Additionally for Call of Duty Elite Premium Members on Xbox LIVE, Call of Duty Elite Content Drops 4-6, featuring Black Box, Negotiator and Black Ice, will be available for download on 13th March. Elite Content Drops 4-6 and MW3 Collection #1 will be made available on other platforms at a later date.

  1. Way too late in my opinion. I got tired of the standard maps a couple of months ago and never even managed to get through the dross campaign. No sale for me but they’ll undoubtedly make mega-bucks from them.

    • Yeah the year of content didn’t really work out did it? I’d be a bit annoyed if I’d splashed the cash on the sub only to be four months in and have got nothing. Anyway I doubt I’ll be buying any map packs for it.

  2. I’m confused – is this to buy on the Store then since Xbox Elite members have had Piazza and Liberation since late January, and PS3 Elite members got these 2 maps on Tuesday. And since Xbox have a 30-day exclusive on all CoD DLC, I assume these 2 maps are now available to all Xbox owners and only the remaining content is released on 20th March. Also, clan events have now started and there are 5 new Prestige levels.
