Let’s get this out of the way to start with, I didn’t enjoy Uncharted 3 as much as the other Uncharted games. The game’s story telling was strong, but the story itself felt the weakest of the series and whilst it wasn’t actually bad, I just didn’t feel it lived up to its siblings.
Of course, the world would be terribly dull if we all looked at things the same way, and Alex’s view of the game in our review was somewhat stronger. He scored the game at 10/10, and even had some words to say about it. The lengths we go to for our audience are ridiculous. I mean actually writing about a game? Unheard of. Anyway, here’s what he had to say:
There’s no question here: this isn’t just the best Uncharted game Naughty Dog have made, it’s probably the best PlayStation 3 game anyone has made – and I’m not sure what other praise I can offer. Understand this: I’ve had such an entertaining experience with Drake’s latest epic that I’m actually struggling to think of any sections I didn’t actually like – and because of that it’s something that I’d encourage everyone to play, regardless of what your tastes might be, so refined is the whole package. A brilliant, brilliant single player, enjoyable co-op and a multiplayer that’ll last for months if not longer.
What’s not to like?
So you’ve heard my thoughts on the game, and those expressed in the review, but now it’s time to tell us what you thought of it. Could you not get enough of Drake’s Deception, or had you had enough by the end? Did it leave you craving more Uncharted, or did you feel like the series could take a break? No matter what your feelings on the game were we want to know. All you need to do to take part is drop a comment below telling us exactly how you felt about Drake’s third PS3 outing.

Buy it. An awesome single player let down by some unnecessary difficulty spikes. The set pieces are great, the ability to whack bad guys over head with fish is great fun and who didn’t enjoy the chase across the rooftops and the “unusual” run around the market? Multiplayer is great. I’ve sunk more time into it so far than UC2 and I ain’t finished yet.

Difficulty spikes…? Where were these…? I thought UC2 was much worse in this respect, as my progress there was suddenly stopped by this boss guy towards the end of the train sequence…

Keep it short and sweet! Nathan Drake in Uncharted it’s an obvious BUY IT! Looks amazing,plays beautifuly the swift combt system and cover system is fantastic! and story wise it’s more gripping and in depth then the previous two games! Nolan Nor…..I mean Nathan Drake we Love You

Buy it. Also buy Uncharted 1 and 2 and play them in order. You can argue back and forwards about which is the best and which is the worst but all three are excellent and better than most games this generation. Uncharted 3 (and Uncharted as a series) shows that games can have realistic characters (in appearance and behaviour), with good writing and beautiful visuals. I realise not everyone loves Uncharted 3 as much as I do but I do believe it is a series that everyone should play and support because it raises the bar in so many areas.

I think Uncharted 3 is fantastic. So was UC2, and although its a sequel, they are seperate games. And 3 was trying to be a different in some areas which i enjoyed, such as the chapter when Nate was younger. The story focusing on nate and sully was refreshing, after 2 tossed sully aside a little.
I did like the fact that some of it seemed to be a throwback to 1, when Nate is on his own a fair bit, as opposed to 2 where the manority is with one or more people.
They did seem to go a little over the top with the set pieces, although very enjoyable, it makes me wonder if theres anything left for the next game..and the supernatural enemys at the end annoyed me, but theydid in the other games too. The puzzles, while not as challenging as 2 were still fun.
All in all, i wouldnt say UC3 surpasses 2 as a game. Its more on par with it. The values were so high on 2, that its pretty damn good they kept it that high on 3 too. Uncharted 3 is the sequal to 2 that everyone wanted, and expected. BUY IT.

the only flaw uncharted 3 had was the the story,the sories in the previous uncharted games seemed to capture my interest more.the multiplayer i believe is bettter than in uncharted 2 as it adds a whole new dimension to the experience and still offers people the hardcore mode for those who preffered U2 multiplayer.to sum up,the graphics were amazing,the story although not as good as the others was still great,the improved battle system was great and even the soundtrack was fantastic.BUY IT.

UC3 is a very good game, but it was struggling with expectations after the previous two installments in the series. UC1 had a brilliant story with an exciting twist (almost of genre), UC2 was graphically absolutely astonishing and fighting on the moving train belongs to one of my personal highlights of all gaming I ever experienced.
Unfortunately, UC3 can’t really live up to the expectations coming from this. During the first bit I thought ‘come on, when does it really start…?’ and for me it only picked up from the ship yard onwards. The part on the cruise ship is brilliant though.
Recommendation: buy UC1 first, then UC2, and then you’ll know enough to decide yourself. But if you want an easy platinum, it’s the game for you… ;o)

This is without a doubt, the best game on the Playstation 3.
The gameplay is brilliant, with some great silent missions.
There is some brilliant writing, and you’ll love all the characters.
It’s got the best graphics I’ve ever seen, from Drake’s eyes to a giant desert wasteland.
The multiplayer is a laugh, and can leave you playing for hours.
The bad things are that Chloe & Elena didn’t feel like main characters in this one, so Naughty Dog could focus on Drake and Sully’s past, I guess.
It’s obviously a BUY IT from me. BUY IT now!
