ThatGameCompany Co-Founder Leaves

According to Gamasutra, thatgamecompany co-founder Kellee Santiago has departed from the company, with sources suggesting other “key staff departures” may be forthcoming too.

After founding the innovative development studio six years ago (with Jenova Chen) Santiago says that it’s “simply time to seek new challenges”.

“After doing these three games,” Santiago said to the site, “I think it was a really great opportunity for all of us to look at what we’ve learned and what I’ve taken from that experience, and go forth and take it into new arenas.”

thatgamecompany‘s three title deal with Sony is now up.

  1. This is a surprise to me and unfortunate that Sony weren’t able to stop it from happening, or even if they tried. Shame.

  2. Good luck to them and well done. Journey will stay with me as a stand out game.
