Burning Skies Will Feature 8-Player Online Functionality

Sony has yet to dish out any major details regarding online play for the Vita’s marquee first person shooter, Resistance: Burning Skies, though an update to the game’s official webpage has let slip a few details. According to a list of key features, Burning Skies will feature 8-man competitive multiplayer, staged across 6 maps and 3 game modes.

There’s no word on what modes will be on offer and how they utilise the Vita’s unique features as well player progression. However, with Burning Skies due to launch next month, we’re likely to hear a lot more on the subject over the next few weeks.

  1. “Burning Skies due to launch next month”

    Really? Yay!

  2. I was a bit wary that it wouldn’t have multiplayer due to here been no news about it and only a month away from release so I’m very pleased with he news.

  3. I’m very interested in how this game turns out, and multiplayer could be very cool even with such a low playercount.

  4. I’ll be grabbing this one, for certain. The prospect of the first real online MP shooter is pretty appealing too.

  5. For this summer I think I’ll complete all of the previous Resistance titles.

  6. very happy got this on preorder.

  7. Might be a bit too small scale for me, personally but there is an in-depth focus on players progression (XP system etc.) I’ll happily pre-order.

  8. Yes, yes & yes. Still got a major Vita backlog (Thanks….Wipeout) but count me in.

  9. Sounds good! Want to get this.

  10. That is cool..
